Big Grin Post Signing Day | Pre Spring Analysis
If the season started today, which teams out of the twelve would your team beat? Post your schedule here, or the part of it you have. Feel free to analyze and opposing teams schedule as well. I'll post mine shortly.

RE: Post Signing Day | Pre Spring Analysis
TROY

Thu, Sep 03 at Bowling Green State (W)
Sat, Sep 12 at Florida (L)
Sat, Sep 19 UAB (L)
Sat, Oct 03 at Arkansas State (W)
Sat, Oct 10 Florida Atlantic (W)
Sat, Oct 17 at Florida International (L)
Sat, Oct 24 North Texas (W)
Sat, Oct 31 Louisiana-Monroe (W)
Sat, Nov 07 at Western Kentucky (W)
Sat, Nov 14 at Arkansas (L)
Sat, Nov 21 Middle Tennessee (W)
Sat, Nov 28 at Louisiana-Lafayette (W)

Bowling Green State will probably be the easiest win on the schedule. According to rivals, over the last four years, we've out recruited them, and they have a new coaching staff. Troy will be fired up for this game and should win.

Florida will be a loss as All-Universe selection Tim Tebow returns along with the entire defense. Bear Woods will miss this game due to NCAA eligibility rules. He will start the UAB game and all games after.

UAB could very well be a loss. They beat is at our place last time and while they havent been vwery good the last two years, they have been quietly getting better. Couple that with a stellar recruiting class and I think UAB wins. Home I'm wrong, but that's just my take on it.

Florida International played Troy hard in our last year and returns a bunch. Not only that, the Trojans have to travel to their new stadium. If FIU, and they should, gets a good crowd, it'll be tough to take down the golden panthers. Not only that, the golden panthers have just drug in a monster recruiting class full of the right people such as quality linemen and skill players.

The Sunbelt Conference games left over are all winnable and so is Arkansas, but they should be the most improved team in the nation, so I wouldn't hold any air. Last year, when the Razorbacks were at their weakest, they beat a 9-0 Tulsa team, who by all rights was a very very good team.

Home games

TROY- I will say is a loss, but it could go either way. We are better at home than on the road.

ULL- I'll go with a win here. The whole home thing plus we owe them one from last year.

NT- A win for sure. Dodge ball isn't working in Denton. This will be Dodges last year.

FIU- If FIU builds off last year then it will be a loss, I'm calling this a win.

D1AA MVS- WIN!

Road Games

MTSU- Middle owns us plus its on there home field. A loss on this one.

ULM- Always a good game, but ULM loses this one. ASU is to strong for the Warhawks.

FAU- A win! Our defense knows Rusty Smith and this year will be no different.

WKU- A win over the Hilltoppers welcoming them to the Belt.05-mafia

Nebraska- LOSS!

Iowa- LOSS!

BCS Team- LOSS!

Looks like another 6-6 03-banghead year unless we beat FIU at home then 7-5 and a bowl birth.

North Texas

Breezes thru schedule finishing 12-0.04-rock

Crowned as BCS National Champions after 13-0 season with surprisingly easy bowl win.04-bow

Turns down special invite to play in Super Bowl as it would conflict with a pre-planned team vacation at a pacific paradise Hooters resort located on Fantasy Island.04-cheers

You seriously think that you will beat ULM...

Well yes, you beat us last year on a huge road game stretch. Plus it was your homecoming. Plus we had 3 big time starters injured (WR Jerrel Jernigan, C Danny Franks, and LB Bear Woods). WR Jerrel Jernigan is a huge assest to the wr core, he's the best we got and probably the best in belt up tehre with FIU's T.Y. "goodbye" Hilton next year (and Troy's Josh Jarboe who was ESPN's #3 rated high school receiver in 2008).

The safety you got was the fault of bad snap from our backup center. Without that, you guys lose. LB Bear Woods has been called part of what could the best LB tandem in the nation. CFN I believe made that statement.

That's A LOT of breaks you guys got. You won fair and square, because great teams can win with their backups. So, good job, there was no excuse last year. Unfortunately, it is a reason and I don't see you getting that lucky again this year, especially in our house where we've lost two sunbelt games in three years. I guess that makes us 19-2 and somewhere around 12-2 at home. Good luck with that. I do have to say you guys did a good job with your BACKUP QB last year. That was flat out awesome for you guys to win that game like that. Kid can play! ULM can ball, that's for sure, I just don't think this is your year to beat Troy.

All in all, this is just smack talk, I have utmost respect for you and all who post here. I take no personal offense to any smack talk here and for those few who have managed to touch a nerve with me from time to time: If I saw you on the streets, I would shake your hand and chit chat with you. What happens here, happens here and should not have an impact on "real life."

Sometimes I ramble, but often I just have a lot to say, haha. Go Trojans! Go Warhawks! Go Sun Belt!

Play to win or don't even walk out of the dressing room. 12-0 unless we lose one then 11-1.

Oh of course, you always play to win all 12, no doubt. Just pointing out the potential pitfalls I see. I'm not a player, and the players expect to work hard and will all 12 games. Just giving a realistic fan approach. And yes, they are capable of winning all 12 games, just dont think they will win them.

That wasn't a knock at you. I just say prepare to win them all, but understand you could lose anyone of them.

I love how ULM beats us once and they think they are something... 01-wingedeagle you beat us by 1 point and we missed the field goal that could have won the game by 1 inch... 03-banghead yes you played a good game and gave us a run for our money but i hardly consider that a defeat... just a speed bump on the way to the top. 05-mafia

Here's a question for fans of any other school in the SBC:

Do you think there's anyone North Texas will beat? Not "could" or "might", but is there any game you expect the Mean Green to win?

I'm very interested to see who you all predict we'll defeat in conference.

I think UNT will win just not sure who I would say they will beat. It very well could be my Cajuns but I think Dodge will be gone after this season, unless he does something drastic to turn around the program.

yeah, i'm going to agree with clutch. Dodge just hasn't been able to put it together, and I don't see him lasting another season if this one doesn't show vast improvement. I'm not on the scene in Denton so I'm no expert, but logic says the man is gone without a winning record this year.

As for who UNT will beat within the conference this year, I don't know. I don't know how the Mean Green is looking this offseason, so I don't know what if anything has improved. If UNT does not improve much over last year, I'll say they don't win ANY games. Of course, I expect yall to be better, so I'll predict two wins within the conference, I just don't know who it'll be.

Dodge will be gone after this season. I don't know of one team NT will beat this year. NT should have hired a college coach and not a Highschool coach. I could be wrong, but I don't see Dodge ball lasting any longer.

You guys just don't get it. North Texas will breeze thru the Belt!

Serious talent and beef have been added to the Mean Green defense and key defensive coaching changes have been made.

Gotta run, Elvis just pulled up out front and honked03-shhhh

I have a question for Troy fans. How in the world does Troy sign 41 players? It appears that you all take every academic risk out there and place them in JUCO's, etc... Is this correct? Also, what are the entrance requirements for Troy?
