I think the Big East would have been media fodder regardless of the outcome of this game. Had Boise won the anti-BCS folks would have used the win to disparage the Big East. Now that TCU has won the Mountain West will have their chests out now. The Big East was in the proverbial no-win situation tonight. But I don't listen to this crap anymore.

They really should spend their time and bag on the PAC-10 this year. At least MWC would have a case.

Do you really thing Cinci should be ahead of TCU? you both lost to OU and TCU lost on the road to #6utah and Cinci lost big to Uconn. They just beat a better team than 4 loss Virgina tech so is it that crazy to be ranked higher? Look im not saying the MWC is better than the big east or Acc ect..but its not like we dont deserve a seat at the table.

As far as the media..if your a cinci fan you obviously understand what its like to have the "non-bcs" logo attached to you so just save it.

The MWC had a good year this year, no doubt. The top of the conference was very good, the bottom once again was terrible. You guys still ended up below the top 6 in the computers, hence your conference is not very deep. That being said, ask OU fans who was better, UC or TCU. They will tell you it was UC. Yes, UC ended up losing by 26 points, but 14 of those points came late. It was 28-20 midway through the 3rd quarter. When TCU played OU, the game was over by the end of the 1st quarter.

Also, as far as the UConn game goes, UC lost its 2nd string QB, the 2nd half was played by a RS freshman QB who turned the ball over multiple times. That is why UConn ended up winning big.

I'd love to see TCU and UC play. I think it would be a great game.

I thought both of these teams were very good football teams. I think Boise St. deserved to be in a BCS game and TCU wasn't far off either. It was a close ballgame. Either of these teams could compete at the next level clearly.

I've always said that I would call TCU and UC even.

As for Ram, why even pay attention. Tell CSU to get a defense. To get 285 out of a RB and win by only five is a 03-lmfao

We undoubtedly saw two BCS, or near-BCS at worst, quality teams last night. But jerkoffs like Ram Fan are pointing their fingers at the wrong teams. UC and VT won their conferences, each MUCH more difficult than the MWC, fair and square.

Ram Fan, you should instead direct your venom toward the team in Columbus. The prison-raping at the hands of SC was worse than what OU did to both UC and TCU, and they couldn't even win their conference, despite having home-field advantage over the team that won it.

Whatever the case, it was a good game for the fans. It went right down to the wire, and the outcome was in doubt until the end. Everyone got their money's worth...

I actually thought that TCU was the BEST team in the MWC this year, they blew it by missing 2 FGs at UTah and if that game had been at home they would have won.

RE: Bowl Thread For Boise/TCU
Enough of this junk. Cincinnati is the Big East champion and, yes, I think they would beat TCU. I do not care who disagrees with me so do not even bother trying to argue with me. Save your time because nothing will ever change my mind.

The Big East has won three straight BCS bowls and has a shot at making it four in a row next week. We continue to win at least 2/3 of our non-conference games every year. I am sick of the ignorance and bashing from the media and MWC.

Whether the MWC deserves a BCS autobid or not has nothing to do with the Big East. You will not be taking our bid. That is my problem with this whole issue. If they want to make the MWC number seven, whatever, but shut up about us.

The Big East has done everything the BCS has required us to do. We do not need to be taken to task by ignorant media blabbermouths, unprofessional MWC administrators, or delusional non-autobid fans. It is time for the disrespect to end.

Beat Virginia Tech and forget about the conversation. No matter what The BEast does, the public will think what it wants. The NCAA would rather not give The BEast a chance to show whether or not they can muster up with the best, since it allows them to belittle us without the danger of actually having to face us. Screw 'em...

I thought TCU was a better team than Boise so I was not suprised to see them win. MWC hjas some strong teams but the Big East is better overall.

If the MWC added Boise, that would be a heck of a conference.

Let's not forget that MWC #3 lost to AZ in LV Bowl, so how strong is the top of that conference?
TCU's a good team, my ? is how they stack up against the real big teams. I saw some of their game against OU, and they were decidedly smaller. The same w/ Boise, not a big team. Speed helps, but if the other side has it it negates it.
So size does matter, said the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree(Alabama) to Charlie Brown's little wilting tree(Utah).

It doesn't matter what the MWC does from here on out. The MWC will be clearly playing road games, AFA vs. Houston in Ft. Worth and Utah vs. Alabama in Louisiana.

The Big East is expected to beat mediocre ACC teams in their bowl games.

TCU to the BE. Really.

Huge Metro area, bigger than Orlando and Tampa combined.

Closer to Loiusville and Cincy than Tampa is.

BE is already spread out so what's a little more.

Big name in football that adds instant credibility.

Big time recruiting base in TX to draw from.

ONly drawback is it's on an island, but so is USF...DFW has one of countries best/biggest airports.

And MWC's wins over totally crappy PAC-9 and WAC mean exactly what?
