Well, she is rich enough to have one of those immigrant nannies that the wealthy love so much, to do all the household work and take care of the children.

And now, the nanny will also have the responsibility of keeping them quiet and away from “mommy” whiles she’s busy working all day.

From what I can determine, Trump gave her a positive way to step aside. He was nice to her but realized she was not up for the job and, very likely, she realized that too. These things happen.

The job isn't for everyone, obviously. If she lied about her legal background, well, she needed to go. Glad Trump pulled the plug.

I read the article in USA and the president's quotes. Seems he went to her and said this: "Look, Katie don't feel you need to stay so as to not disappoint me by leaving. If you want to step down, I support it and will not be displeased. If you want to stay, I will support that too. But you will need to get dramatically better — and quickly. If not, I'll have to dismiss you. Your call."

If Trump handled it like that (and I tend to think he did) ... he handled it perfectly. But if he even politely pressured her to leave immediately, that was fine too. She simply wasn't up to the task. It happens.
