We just conducted the first kinetic strike on a TdA drug vessel in the Caribbean for the first time ever.

Used to be the Coast Guard would interdict and arrest.

Now we just zap them with a guided bomb.

Cool cool.

What other criminal offenses now should be meted out with a death penalty by bomb or drone strike instead of arrest? Sounds fun.

They aren't Americans, and in fact are killing Americans, and thus have no due process.

Here's the video of the strike. Since it was kinetic, I'm assuming it was dropped from a very high drone. Impressive that it was able to track a high speed boat in the ocean for that distance.

Blow enough of them up and they'll stop trafficking drugs.

There's not enough Coast Guard boats and resources to do that. Never has been. It was always a finger in the dam.

My boss for many years was a Coast Guard Captain (of the Cutter Seneca). They were the first to ever use 50 caliber to shoot out the engines of drug boats to render them dead in the water. It was a nice win, but we've still been losing the war for decades.

These aren't just criminals. They are terrorist inflicting more damage on the U.S. than al Qa'ida could have ever dreamed of. Therefore, its time to stop sitting with our thumbs up our asses and take the fight to them.
