You're among the very few. I thought it was so jokey looking. I'm amazed pulling the Pantherhead out of it to be it's own logo worked so well. I didn't think there was anything redeemable about that pushup panther logo. The Panther head is top notch though.
I didn't mind it as much, but I do prefer the Panther head 100%.
It's kinda funny I do see different iterations of Georgia State logos in Atlanta suburbs.Tells me when they attended and graduated. I just drove by a house in North Druid Hills with the Zuul GSU flag lol.
I actually still wear my Zuul hat fairly often. Honestly, I didn't mind it, and I kind of enjoyed getting trolled over it (the fact that people cared that much was funny, AND I'm a big fan of Ghostbusters so I thought the parody logo shopped by a GS(?) fan was funny too). However, once I couldn't unsee Zuul, there was this constant feeling that we could do better. And like dpb, I was pretty amazed that chopping off the legs made that much of a difference.
(FWIW, I also really liked that Pink Panther logo that a GS fan made...)
It was done by a GSU Alum. Friend of mine. Same guy that made and handed out the GSU IS F*CKING GREAT koozies.
Oh, nice! Does he still apply his shopping skillz to GSU matters?

Nah, he got out of the game. Without going into too much of his personal life he took a job traveling during the pandemic and doesn't have much of a permanent residence any more to operate out of. At least last time we talked that was the case. Tries to make it back to a game or two when he can. Which reminds me I should reach out and see if he's going to be in town Saturday.

Makes sense, I definitely took the convenience of home games for granted when I was still in metro ATL.

Very nice! I updated the post to include Coastal's new beer. That only leaves us with ULM and Texas St without a university sponsored beer.
ULM still has the Warhawk beer from Flying Tiger Brewery. Really cool microbrewery in Monroe if you are in town for a game. Close to the new Hilton Tapestry collection Hotel Monroe boutique hotel downtown that is by far the nicest hotel in town.
Are we the only one whose beer is from a brewery outside of their state? There are two breweries in Jonesboro, but they can’t advertise their beers on their website due to dry county laws.

We had to grit through the Zuul era to get there, but I am definitely in full-homer agreement.
I don't even drink and I'm a little jealous of those of you with school spirits.
I kinda liked the Zuul lol

I've hear App prefers their head from Cougars...

This isn't affiliated with UL, but it's a local distillery and surprisingly awesome bottle of whiskey. Specifically, the cask strength single barrel if you can find it. I've tried many local attempts at whiskey/bourbon and most are simply ok. But JT Meleck BP is truly top shelf stuff.

I've been intrigued by this since seeing it a year or two ago in a video.. When I was in the Sip back in November I looked for a bottle and couldn't find any.
