I just hope they can eliminate so much waste in our government. I remember extremely high price hammers when you could get one for $20 bucks at any hardware store. All these monies were stolen by the people who acquisition them, it's that simple.

I think the GAO's estimate is maybe 10% of reality.

I would be surprised if either is taking a paycheck, so yeah, two for the price of none is pretty efficient.

I love the idea of a commission that can put together information showing where the waste is and on how the gov't can work just as well or better with less resources. If they are creating a new department on efficiency, it's rather ironic. "We have to create more gov't in order to reduce it"...
