I keep trying to think what's the downside to this... I mean if you keep the standard labor laws in effect...

I thought the same as you did at first Stink, but I'm not seeing it off the top of my head unless I"m just blindspotted at the moment.

it complicates the 'fashion in fairness' and the many others that some smarter will think up that I simply don't want to scribble .... I'm long past sick of this dipshite-ism...

I can pencil whip hrs on a dime ... I'm betting they wouldn't give up SS taxes...

it would take less than a decade with all the illegals to begin the chinese version of slave labor...

is that where yaz want capitalism and the USD moving your offspring forward ... IMO, it's a bad move if you want more folk engaged in productivity vs. the socialized version...

It saves the employer money as long as it includes FICA.

He should call for no taxes on a second or third job

A lot of single moms work two jobs and giving them that break could expand his appeal to a demographic he struggles with

that's better ... it's still not what I would prefer...

I'm a Yuge fan of a consumption tax ... in a variety of methodologies based on income...

IOW, all you do is report documented income for the 'chits' ... it's too simple and would fk too many elitists up the arse ... it's why it will never happen until the next 'bloodletting' occurs ... it's what we do as a species if'n ya think backwards to today...

what makes our version 'special'?

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... can't get past that one, can Ya?!...

Also, that income shouldn't be isted on the W-2 as taxable income. Overtime typically puts UNION employees in a different tax bracket. He's going after them hard.

all I see are more folk either working two jobs, or lack of incentive to generate growth vs. wages due to the former ... maybe the unions will become relevant again ... I guess there's that aspect...

Alabama implemented this effective January 1, 2024 for state income tax:

I will like to see, "no taxes on active military members". They have it bad enough trying to maintain a home with the pay they get and the way they are deployed numerous times. If the GI works a second job then that pay will be taxed but not the one given by Uncle Sam. If they separate from the service then that benefit goes away.

I'm a veteran and I think ONLY the active GI should be able to benefit. Maybe, just maybe it will also get more recruits.

How about no federal income tax, period? We can fund the government with either a fair tax (aka a national sales tax) or tariffs.
