How about the last five years? P5 wins:

App: 3
ECU: 1

App has beat 3 P5s since the last time ECU beat a P5. The Pirates aren't who they used to be, so I understand ECU fans wanting to stretch statistics as far back in time as possible. They've really suffered because of new regional FBS recruiting competition over the last 5-10 years: App, UNCC, Coastal, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Old Dominion, James Madison.

Until ~10 years ago, ECU was the only G5 from DC to Orlando. There was no competition. That has changed, and it continues to hurt the Pirates.

The last year ECU recorded 9+ wins was 2013. Since then, App has done it 7 times.


Oh, and congratulations on the Twitter poll loss. I didn't know that was a thing until this morning, but you really "punished" us.

Well, ECU accepts almost everyone (94% acceptance rate), so it makes sense that some Pirates don't know how to count.

Last year, UCF finished 2nd in the AAC, one of the five "Group of 5" conferences. BYU was an independent (not associated with a conference).

The P5 ("Power 5") conferences are defined as the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, and Pac-12. It seems like you need a lot of this spelled out.

ECU played one opponent last year from a P5 conference (NC State, who plays in the ACC). The final score: NC State 21, ECU 20.

all jokes aside, ECU has a higher acceptance rate, a much lower average SAT/ACT/GPA/graduation rate than App. There is not a single category in which ECU is more competitive than App. To put it bluntly Apps bottom 25% of accepted applicants would be top 25% at ECU.

Chances are, even if you were interested in going to App, you wouldn't have gotten in. Maybe thats what happened, and its why you're so butt hurt about App beating ECU in a stupid twitter poll.
