Anyone have a list of all the transfers from the 2022 team and where they are now playing (if anywhere)?

Great post Cow, thanks.

Dear Friends,
An interesting article about rivalries on the Weastern site, and how they are going to be played on Saturday this year. I know they (Western) consider Central their rival, but if we can continue to dominate both schools for a while, maybe they will begin to reconsider who their real rival may be.

Great point Ken. A sweep of Central and Western and a successful year would clearly indicate we are the dominant program in state. Hope we see it!

CMU may be their rival, but EMU pisses them off. We've owned their arses in recent years.

Great point Ken.

Don't get me wrong, I love the bowl win and beating P5 ASU. To me, however, blowing out WMU and CMU was more significant. That Michigan MAC trophy establishes us as a serious player when recruiting.

RE: An early look at the 2023 football season.
Dear Friends,
Nothing to do with this fall's schedule, but listening to Scott Wetherbee at the MAC Event, he mentioned in scheduling, Eastern still has a date with Army in 2030. He was also quick to mention that he was not involved with the Army scheduling of the past. Starting this season, he is responsible for all future schedules.
I know Coach Creighton was not fond of playing Army, and I thought the series was finished the last time we played them. I'm just wondering why schedule some one about ten years after the last time you played them, and like I said above, he (Wetherbee) was not responsible.

Hey a few housekeeping items before the season starts.

Did they start concrete repairs?

Are we seeing new turf this season?

When do we need to replace the roof of the indoor facility?

Yes to cleaner restrooms and better concessions and choices.

Ken, I think the deal with Army was actually scheduled during the Gragg administration. Heather's asst Christian Spears whined incessantly about it to me.

Personally, I cannot think of a worse opponent to schedule. Beating them does not carry the same prestige as a P5 team. Additionally, they are just plain physically punishing, that contest is a body bag game. We lost at least two defensive lineman the last time we played due to those running play cut blocks. I'd rather go to Columbus like Toledo did, take a 77-21 shellacking and let the guys experience playing in front of 100K fans.

Dear Jerry,
Thanks for that information on how the series was scheduled, I didn't know that. You certainly echoed Coach Creighton as to why he doesn't like playing Army, and I agree with you about playing someone like Ohio State over Army.
I'm still wondering why we would want to pay them in 2030? I would think it is a contract that we should be able to get out.

One development for the upcoming football season: For the first time I am now a season ticket holder. Given how my life typically goes, it will likely jinx whatever upward trajectory the program has experienced under the amazing guidance of Coach Creighton… brace yourselves for a disappointing season, folks! 03-lmfao

RE: An early look at the 2023 football season.
The NCAA changed the rules on downfield blocking and cut blocks on the LOS to such a drastic degree that Monken has dropped the triple option, and is going more traditional. He also mentioned how hard recruiting has been, trying to convince kids to come to West Point is hard enough, without the old fashioned football system. (To be transparent, I love the option. Love to see it at the academies and when Paul had it rolling in Atlanta).
Playing Army in 2030 will be radically different.
Heck by then we could be at war somewhere, and playing their JV. Let's hope not

If Army tries to play football with a shotgun QB, then we will have a creampuff opponent. They don't get the athletes to play that game.

I respect your affection for the veer offense. Oklahoma used to run for over 500 yards in a game and the ball was flying everywhere. It was exciting.

The players also complained about dirty plays. Now if Army does something cheap during a game and a civilian player retaliates--who is getting the flag?
Playing Army is a no-win situation.

It's an unscientific fact that if you lay money on every EMU opponent, then it will cancel out the season ticket jinx.
