B1G November Issue could be solved by adding FSU/Miami
Its too cold up North to host B1G games during Primetime?

Add some Florida teams and send Ohio State and Michigan down to visit in November.

This only helps the argument that B1G should be poaching the ACC sooner than later.

It's absolutely fascinating how much the ACC's grant or rights agreement has impacted conference affiliation. If ABC had negotiated for the prime time B1G slot, I think your idea may have actually happened, but Disney isn't going to let two of the ACC's biggest brands go to a competitor.

But how does this help the ACC schools get out of the ACC sooner?

The problem with adding any or all of those schools -- aside from maybe Oregon -- is that further dilute the Big Ten's on-field product. NBC isn't going to salivate over Wisconsin at Arizona on November 12: that game would be sort of interesting to have played in September at Jerry World, but in the heart of conference play you want to see some rivalries and/or great matchups.

Florida State and Miami immediately provide great matchups and excitement about the league. The Pac-12 leftovers really don't.

Not trying to be to much of a homer here but IMO Washington brings as much to the table as Miami. FSU is definitely on another level (ND level)

Washington (and Oregon) also have the ability to be added now as opposed to in several years, and without needing to fight the SEC for them.

The NFL plays night games in November in fricken Buffalo. Put some heaters and jackets on the bench, the B1G certainly has the $$$$$$ to spare.

If the Big Ten doesn't mind that all of the TV revenue from all of Florida State's and Miami's Big Ten home games goes to the ACC through 2036....

With $100+ million each year in near future for B1G schools I'd add on to your idea of building domes and suggest retractable roof options for multiple purpose facilities; football, baseball, track and field, etc. If needed add a corporate sponsorship like the Carrier dome.

You may be right -- especially on the west coast. Here in SEC Country, though Miami is definitely the bigger draw than Washington. I can't speak intelligently about the west coast or the midwest.

Miami has so much going for it as a program. They recruit at an elite level, have top-notch NIL support, are located in a great market, fertile recruiting base, elite football pedigree with multiple national championships, multiple NFL legends, the 30 for 30 documentary...I could go on.

The only thing that has been missing is recent success since they've gone through 2 decades of mediocrity on the football field.

If Miami ever figured it's sh!t out they are a top 10 brand. Washington is solid but they don't have Miami's brand value or ceiling even if the floor has been generally higher.

Yes, Wisc and PSU already are planning to add heated fields in 2024. That won't help the fans stay warm, but at least the teams will be comfy. Maybe it's time for OSU, Mich and MSU to do the same. If not, there are NFL stadiums a couple of hours down the road.

??? FSU puts more eyes on TV’s and butts in seats than Miami. The advantage of UM is easier logistics and a big market (for whatever that continues to be worth). 05-ban

He's saying that Miami is the bigger draw than UW, not that Miami is bigger than FSU.

B1G needs all of Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Virginia. If they need a team for #22, it might be worth bending for Clemson, but if not, Syracuse or Duke would likely be the next in line. Washington and Oregon take the B1G to 24. The B1G is realistically locked out of Texas (barring a total charity add), they cannot afford to lose Florida.
