Anything less than 10-2 against this schedule will be disappointing.

Absolutely right! There is $200M for facilities being spent to help us move up in conference yet we have an AD & admin that is & will be satisfied with an 8-4/9-3 records & maybe some fans too (sure we all "hope" to contend for conference title). But hope & maintaining the status quo will NEVER get us titles or a step-up in conference (we've had losing record in-conference each of the last 2 yrs & the coach got an extension). And we need a growing fanbase. A shrinking attendance won't get us what we all desire (39K-34K-25K is the current attendance trend). And unless we are CONTENDING for conference titles, fans won't come out or buy tickets).

Is that assuming undefeated in conference with losses to Missouri and Boise or are you thinking we should beat Boise and maybe drop one conference game?

I think SMU might be really good this year. They have a bunch of highly rated transfers coming in and more NIL money than anyone else in the conference.

I’m not sure if our record even matters. We went to the cotton bowl and less than two years later got passed up. Houston hasn’t exactly set the house on fire and they got in over us

Link where the admin says they would be satisfied with 8-4/9-3?

Silverfield was given the extension in 2020 but it was only announced at a later date, so you are lying about that.

Last but not least, Silverfield isn't good enough for you but YOU were satisfied with both of Tubby's garbage seasons, and his performance, so much, that you wanted to keep him for 5 years.

You keep lying, you keep being mocked by everyone, you double down.

I think the fearful assumption is if 6-6, & 7-6 gets Silverman an extension & “atta boys” from the administration, then 8-4 will get him a lifetime contract… nevermind, the schedule has steadily been dumbed down.

I think we have a good chance of being really good season. I also believe our coach has zero room for error- he’s been mediocre and additionally he alienated half the fanbase by saying he didn’t need them as fans.

So yea, he better win this season.

Lose the bend over buy game in StL to Missouri, beat Boise at home, drop a conf road game.

8-4 against this schedule with the toughest conf games at home would be bad. If Silverfield can't get it done this year, year 4 in a watered down league and a favorable schedule then he won't ever get it done

exactly. Silverman has been 3-5 the last two seasons in the conference & has needed soft non-conference slate to pad the overall record

Me either. I hope Coach grows a set ... and wins 8 + games. He's just too nice a guy. Needs someone to set a fire under his azz !! Then he can pass it on to the team and the refs !! 07-coffee3

Nor have I. Perhaps a link can be provided? Or some kind of context of what was said, and when? Otherwise, I am calling BS.

From the same guy that wants an 80,000 seat stadium, free tickets to every game, who claimed he was at a game where he made 40 posts, who had a conversation with a Hardgrave sock puppet and claimed it was real.

Just a guess here, but it could be the “sticker shock” crew still holding their grudge from the 2020 season. They been gone two seasons now, but some people can’t let it go. I guess they have never made a mistake in their life, so no one else is allowed to either….

It was a mistake for sure but I don't think RS has ever suggested it being a mistake.

There are two AAC team that are picked in preseason top 25 polls. And another pick head of us in power rankings

Quit looking at the names on front of the uniform.

May not be as difficult as last year but it is far from a easy schedule.

We have a four game stretch where we can go 4-0 or 0-4 or anywhere in between.

Many are talking easy schedule and setting high standards so you can start your annual bash the coach threads if he doesn't meet those standards.

Even the ESPN power ratings have us losing 4 games.
