Don't Blame the Messenger. (BIG STORY)
Unless it's a hardship thing he'll need to sit out a season. He's already burned his free transfer. Probably not a grad transfer after 3 years in college.

I actually thought he would leave after his first season at EMU. But he was the man on that team. His second year he had to share the scoring spotlight and there were times he seemed frustrated by that. I wish him the best. I am sure he will find the program where he will be the main focus. Meanwhile we have yet another rebuild. That's 4 scholies open.

I’m not surprised. Noah’s game regressed from last season to this past season because seemingly to get Emoni more shots. Noah was the best overall player on last year’s team from my perspective. He played hard on defense and deferred to Emoni and Tyson on offense.

Total rebuild now and a huge failure on Wetherbees part for this hire.

Wow, this one does hurt! Noah was a fantastic player. Wish him well wherever he lands.

As soon as I read this thread, the first thing I thought about was how Bovine predicted a mass exodus. You get my credit!

18-44 in two seasons! 8-23 is season 2! Heath is 24 games under .500 in 15 years as a coach! 5 winning seasons, 10 losing seasons! One season 30-6 at Kent St, where he didn't recruit any of that team, but I'll give him credit for it! Again, Why did we hire him? Murphy was soooooooooooo much better! I wanted Earl Boykins, or the Ferris St coach! Who else will transfer out next? I sure hope this isn't a total rebuild..........Transfer portal is our only hope! Any decent coach starts to change the culture and win in season 2, hopefully Heath can do it in season 3! He's 59 years of age, how many MAC coaches are that age?

I am wondering if this means Emoni Bates is staying and the players fear not having enough shots as Luckey suggests. Or maybe word is out that GameAbove will be paying Emoni Bates (I have no info), and the other players are saying pay me too or I leave (again total speculation).

Bates will probably also leave as well! His entire goal is play at the next level, do you think playing at EMU, A MAC school will help him that much? I just hope now Acuff doesn't also leave! Those 3 scored 50 plus points every game! Does this mean we currently have only two guards on the team left? Acuff, and Rice

Jerry, I'm sure Noah Farrakhan saw his former teammate at E Carolina Tristen Newton win A national championship at UCONN! He's from the east coast, so maybe he's hoping to play at a school similar to UCONN! Farrakhan athletically can definitely play at that level!

You are probably right about Bates.

I can only imagine TyCuff stays. He is poised to be the focus of the team next year. And he is a local Detroit kid- not many options to transfer a second time without sitting out. The question is will TyCuff be enough?

While I see some this board's criticism of Heath as over the top (moving on quickly from Murphy and his style was gonna be a challenge), I do think Heath messed up last season playing Acuff at PG and moving Farrakhan to the wing. He's more of a lead guard than anything and is at his best attacking and making plays for himself and others. Acuff is more of a shooter who can manage the point but is not dynamic there.

The fact is some of us have been saying EMU needs a true point guard and a floor leader. We had neither last season.
