A couple things from the presser:

- Q said she got poked in the eye and that's why she sat the last little bit. They asked her if she would be able to play Monday, and she said, "oh, I'm ready."

- They had asked Fennelly about Lockett, and he said a lot of nice things and that "she is a BXII-caliber player." Well duh. But then when Cullop came out, they told her what he said, and her reply was "he can't have her."

- Later an AP reporter asked her if there is a fear that being seen on this big stage will cause some coaches to try to poach any of her players. She said everyone fears that, and that the tight-knit nature of the team will hopefully win out over anything else that may come along. She said she "hopes" that they can keep Q, which was an interesting phrase.

I’ll take a 2nd round or Sweet 16 appearance with Lockett and the risk of losing her next season over the men’s situation with Dennis and missing out on the tournament.

It’s just the media trying to stir up ****. They’ll be focused for Monday.

It's gona be an uphill battle in the meca of wbb, monday... But hell, this team is resilient. VT would/will be the end of the road if we win. Maybe another mid major can do us a favor before then.

Yeah, if I’m Q I’m thinking “I could go to an Iowa State and get beat by a 12 seed or I could stay at UT with everyone back and be the five seed that plays the twelve seed.” This team should be preseason Top 25 next year.

Sammi's tough D on Joens was decisive factor!!

Joens was incredibly frustrated and it showed big time. Tough way to end a brilliant career but she played against a very athletic and determined player in Sammi M.
