I was thinking all day how heartbreaking these losses for every team. We go from the elation of feeling the possibility of survive and advance to the overwhelming feeling of DEATH and finality when you lose.

67 teams and fanbases leave just crushed to a singularity inside.

One single team leaves feeling on top of the world.

On that last defensive possession I already knew they would score. It's some kind of weird voodoo going on with the program

That's a TURRIBLE position to be in right underneath their basket with seconds to go. Any competent coach should be able to draw up a play and get a good shot in that situation.

That is a really terrible position to be in on defense. Its hard to stop.

For Christ’s sake, at least make them take a decent range jump shot to win it - letting them drive uncontested to the hoop for a layup was just shocking to see.

Yeah that was a nice play using the big to screen out Williams. Williams had to be more physical . Even with the fouls

Theoretically sure but any solid coach can draw something up and get a guy open for an easy look inside in that situation. That's one of the most common things in college basketball and has been for years.

Its a very difficult thing to defend that deep under the basket coming out of a time out. Particularly when you lack a real interior shot blocker on your roster.

We got screwed….Hardaway cradled the ball, there is no way that’s a jump ball….it’s a foul…plus we were screaming for a timeout…..we got screwed.

Damn, that is depressing to read. I feel the same in a lot of ways though.

We have an interior shot blocker…he started a lot of games …..he just wasn’t put on the court again tonight for some odd reason.

Used to be really invested in Tiger games before but other things in life are way too important. It’s a disappointing loss and all we can do is hope for the best in the future. Don’t really have a lot of choice

Agree 100%

When I was a teen, every Tiger loss just ruined my entire day. Oh, and losing in the NCAA tournament? I couldn’t get any sleep or eat anything at all.

Now that I’m a little older and wiser, I keep the “highs” in life at a reasonable level, and never allow the “lows” to permeate my mind. I’m disappointed that we lost tonight, but thankful for the great season we all enjoyed.

My sentiments exactly.

Seems like we've been cursed ever since we played in the title game. I felt the same way, I KNEW they were going to score and win by one.

The only thing I could think of there was he had ten seconds to get the ball past halfcourt. I can usually tell how long is left using the shot clock, but the shot clock was off. I was wondering if we were going to get a ten seconds call.

It's crushing for sure. Still feel terrible this Saturday morning after. I guess that's the price to pay for being an invested fan. Enjoying the highs and being crushed by the lows.

DeAndre tried to help out but was held by the Russian dude. But of course the refs either didn’t see it or swallowed his whistle

Maybe so, but we’ll never know because he is a moron who punched a wall
