RE: Conference Championship Prediction
I'm picking Hofstra to win like I did the past two years. By the way, I'm pretty bad at making predictions like this and I'm always wrong.

I hope you're wrong about being wrong this year.
If I went with my head, I would probably pick Charleston, but the heart says HOFSTRA!

RE: Conference Championship Prediction
I want Hofstra and Charleston to make the finals and showcase our league the best it can. No other team is in the same breath as either, and in a year with a fringe, at best, team for an at large I want us showing our league is worthy so it can help push the league forward

RE: Conference Championship Prediction
I picked Charleston.
Pleased that the CAA has the potential to showcase a terrific championship game between Hofstra and Charleston. I like to run with underdogs but in this case, I’m pulling for the top two seeds (unless the Tribe makes an unlikely run).
Also hope to see decent crowd support this year. The first two years in DC, I think only the W&M/Elon 1st round game in 2020 was the only game to pull in over 2,500. We were a 2 seed so had great support that game. The Tribe will still bring a decent contingent I think on Saturday but much will depend I think on Hofstra and Towson this year.

RE: Conference Championship Prediction
Nobody on Hofstra's message board posted about attending the CAA Tournament. Now that I moved off the east coast, I have no chance at going, but I want to go to the NCAA Tournament if Hofstra or Charleston plays in Des Moines. Any other CAA team would have so little chance at winning an NCAA Tournament game (other than the First Four in Dayton) that it would not be worth paying for tickets. In 2019, a Second Round doubleheader cost about $200 for far back midcourt seats. I like sitting at midcourt because I do not want to be too far away from either end.

RE: Conference Championship Prediction
If you were betting with money, and not your heart, you obviously have to go with Hofstra or Charleston.
But UNCW has disappointingly underperformed to an extent, and if our guys put 6 halves in a row together playing the way they have shown themselves to be capable of playing their is no reason we can't win this thing. Similarly, from what I've seen of Towson they are capable of putting it all together and winning it, to. Any of the top four teams are completely capable of losing their first round games, but I don't see how any of the next tier teams would get through the phalanx after that first upset.
As far as 'representing' the conference, Charleston would get the best seed in the tournament which -along with their on-court body of work - would give the CAA the best chance of a tournament run.
My (biased) dream scenario, would be for UNCW to win the tournament, a 29 win Charleston team to squeak into the NCAA as an at-large, Hosftra into the NIT.

Uncw has around 100 fans that got tickets. I am not going and most of our fans will not go to this location in dc.

Evan,
Is there another Hofstra board besides the one here on CSNBBS? I haven't followed the boards since we dropped football in '09, but I see almost no activity here.
