Most high school games that week are on Thursday night because of Labor Day weekend. At least in Michigan that is how they typically do it.

Some are but not all. This schedule change means I'll be missing the EMU opener.

'Nickle, I think you know why EMU does Friday night: Freshman orientation.

They come a week early, get orientated and then leave for Labor Day weekend.

HOWEVER, I would think that the THURSDAY would be perfect. Some schools opt to open on that Thursday.

As far as Howard, they begin classes in mid-August so they might not be receptive to a mid-week game as it is even more disruptive to classes.

We open at San Diego State on August 26 (Week Zero).

I'm missing the UMASS game because of a comedy festival i co-produce and i'm crestfallen.

Honestly a pretty good schedule for us. That Tuesday night game in Buffalo to end the regular season will be a wildcard for sure. Only one midweek home game, and it not being Thanksgiving week, is a blessing. Hoping we're in contention come Nov. 14th to get a good turnout against Akron.
