RE: Last 10 Tigers MBB Coaches
I’d love to see the complete records. What all former coaches did before and after Memphis. Bartow, Cal, Kirk all of them. I’m guessing Cal still has the best win %

Wikipedia has a sortable charge with all of it. Here's the order:
1. Bob Vanatta (1956-1962): 109-34 - 0.762
2. John Calipari (2000-2009): 214-69 - 0.756
3. Fredrick Grantham (1920-1921): 22-7 - 0.750
4. Dana Kirk
5. Gene Bartow
6. Josh Pastner
7. Penny Hardaway
... and 12 other guys, ending with
19. W. H. Depriest (1921-1922). 1-7 - 0.125

I was just interested in Total Record as a division 1 head coach. Here and elsewhere combined.

Here’s Bartow 491-253 for a .660 win %

So he did worse when he wasn’t at Memphis

Ah, I understand. I actually got some of that together a year or so ago. Built it into a chart, but never posted it here. I originally did it because Pastner was being hailed as one of the best ever, but his total record is getting worse.

This one is actually nice, but only includes coaches with at least 10 seasons:

He'll pass Pastner soon enough. Speaking of Pastner, he's 2-10 after hitting conference play. Ranked #206 in the NET. If Georgia Tech wasn't even more desperate to replace their football coach, he would already be out of a job, being .481 with the Yellow Jackets. Glad we tossed that hot potato.

Wikipedia has a sortable charge with all of it. Here's the order:
1. Bob Vanatta (1956-1962): 109-34 - 0.762
2. John Calipari (2000-2009): 214-69 - 0.756
3. Fredrick Grantham (1920-1921): 22-7 - 0.750
4. Dana Kirk
5. Gene Bartow
6. Josh Pastner
7. Penny Hardaway
... and 12 other guys, ending with
19. W. H. Depriest (1921-1922). 1-7 - 0.125

04-cheers great job--however you left off PASTNER' global championship prior to MEMPHIS 04-cheers--again fantastic job

Obviously you know that I knew you meant college---but once again a certain poster below can't recognize sarcasm humor

That was with Houston Hoops in 2000, a NIKE EYBL team, and to call it a global championship is a bit of a stretch. Didn't you notice the list only pertains to college basketball? You don't see Penny's State Championships listed do you?

Another serious question that you won't answer, but if Pastner is so good, why is he 104-112 since leaving Memphis? If you include Memphis, he's still only 271-185 (.594) which isn't amazing. Don't you think that likely reflects his lack of coaching ability?
