The Cowboys MADE THE PLAYOFFS. What does that say about the quality of play in the rest of the NFL?

To me both the NFL and the college games have become almost dominated by the best quarterback. I'm not sure how you fix it, but it's over the top. You can pick the NCAA Champ by picking the best QB. The NFL is trending the same way. This is not good for the game.

It is a qb dominated game. However, SF is playing with a rookie qb who was literally the last player selected in last year's draft. I don't really consider him a dominant qb - at least not yet. There are still other ways to win.

I heard an interesting stat about Dak.
In 39 games, he has not gone back to back games without a turnover.

It is better to have a dominant QB , if you don’t you have to have. A great Defense and a great back. Dallas had a great back and was driving to take the lead. Once their great back left the game , Dallas had to rely on their great receiver and their Defense… it was not enough

If I'm Jerry Jones, I fire McCarthy to try and hire Quinn, or hire Sean Payton.

I would hire Sean Payton today.

Jerry will mess around and not have anyone to choose from and his OC and DC will be goine.

The Saints still have Payton under contract. They're indicating they want a 1st round pick + other draft pick(s) for his rights.
In addition to the $25M or so that he will want to be paid.
Don't know if he's worth all that.

Personally, I don’t think it’s gonna hurt Tony’s big summer contract negotiations in the least.

Payton would be a great hire but I think they would do better to go get Bill Belichick.

If you combine Bill's coaching with the cowboys drafting you would have another dynasty. Belichicks biggest weakness is he doesn't draft well over the long haul. The cowboys front office drafts as well as anyone in the NFL. Plus I think Bill's cold, emotionless, anti-premadonna vibe would work wonders for the circus that is the Dallas Cowboys.

I doubt they fire McCarthy though, its really not justified and would be a bad look overall.

Give Alonso a break. It could be worse. Something like this.
Once there was an elephant
Who tried to use the telephant.
No, No, I mean an elephone
That tried to use the telephone.
I'm not certain quite
That even now I've got it right.
How're it was he got his trunk
Entangled in the telephunk
The more he tried to get it free
The louder buzzed the telephee
I think I'd better just drop the song
Of elethrop the telephong.

Ike’s still hearing from reliable sources that TIGERNATION will be happy when everything comes together. The BIG makes sense geographically but, Ike doubts it’ll happen, however the movements of the BIG will effect where we land.
Ike and his sources believe it’ll be the ACC.
We must start playing a tougher OOC schedule hopefully including ACC teams
The next two years of scheduling are laughable, take a look at App state, Tulane, SMU our
A.D. is a joke

Eh?
We have Mizzou, Boise, and Arky State next year.
Tulane has Old Miss, So Alabama, and Southern Miss.
App St has North Carolina, East Carolina, and Wyoming.

The next year we have Florida St, Troy, and MTSU.
Tulane has Oklahoma, Kansas St, and SE Louisiana.
App St has Clemson, Liberty, and East Carolina.

What are we even talking about here?
