Amazing how so many players could play with so few brain cells all at the same time.

Make both FT's, win the game. Lakhin had a major mind fart. Luckily it turns into a teaching moment and not a lost game.

I pray to god that coach didn’t order that. That’s a firable offense. I’m confident that was all Vik. He’s a *** **** head case

It's hard to imagine why Wes would tell him to miss. I think that might be entirely on Lakhin. It can make sense to miss on the second FT in some situations. But in this case there was no reason to purposefully miss either.

That decision on that free throw by Lahkin/Miller makes no sense.

Very typical UC team in the last 4 minutes of the game we score zero points.

I think someone should take Davenport to a hypnotist.

I am not Reggie Miller... I am not Reggie Miller... I will stop shooting fade away threes... I will stop shooting fade away threes...

Somehow UC did not get too many fouls called on them at the end of the game. There were opportunities for the refs to do so but they let both teams play today for the most part.

RE: SMU Game thread
Nothing about Lahkin’s decision is even remotely a good idea. If he did hit the rim, SMU would have gotten the rebound closer to mid court than if he lost would have shot and missed normally.

Between Vik, Davenport’s quick trigger, and Nolley dribbling into nowhere and in turning it over in frustration—-Just some real loser plays down the stretch by important guys. What does that say about SMU

Miller is laughing about Lahkin's terrible missed free throw on purpose attempt.

DDJ and Davenport combined for 2-16 from the field and 1-10 from 3. Woof

RE: SMU Game thread
Call me crazy, but I thought this was one of the more promising wins I've seen this season. It's the first game in quite some time that we've shot poorly and still won the game.

We hustled, dominated the glass, played good defense. Lakhin is starting to turn into a rim protector, 2 blocks shy of a triple double.

But even with DDJ, Davenport and Lakhin having bad games on the offensive end. Nolley and MAW were able to step up and carry the load. We are showing that we've got 5 guys who can provide us scoring punch in any given game. It's a lot better than relying on two guys last year.

Sure I could do without the late game boneheaded plays by Davenport, Nolley and Lakhin. I could do without the 17 TO's. But was the closest we've looked in a while to UC basketball, play defense, defend the interior, beat them on the boards and win with effort over scoring. We need to win when the shots aren't falling and tonight we did.
