RE: Sean Lewis
We should be able to battle akron for the bottom of the East. Lewis was in trouble this year. Recruiting was down. Slogans and mottos only get you so far. He left before the house was in flames. Let’s get back to the bottom of the MAC. You know where we have been since 65. Minus a few outliers

I do not buy this premise at all. We will feel differently in 4-6 months.

Here is where we are IMO. A rookie HC who is completely unproven. A lot of talent leaving. So it's a big fat unknown at this point. I think we could finish first or dead last in the MAC East. What I do know is Burns has his work cut out for him. It's not going to be easy.

Exactly! Would be nice to know his staff and wow soon we'll be hearing of guys in the portal following them to KSU.

He has his work cut out for him. But he knew the situation when he took the job.

RE: Sean Lewis
The President says it all in his opening comments. "We do more with less".
Translation-We in the administration really don't
care if our facilities are the worse in the MAC.
Also, AD comment was noteworthy.
'We talked to former coaches for input on what it took to win at Kent State.
That would mean 2 coaches. Unless AD had a seance with Don James.

I disagree with the last statement. I feel like unsuccessful coaches like Haynes could offer insight on what it takes to win based on what obstacles they were not able to overcome. Often you learn more from losing than winning.

2? Mason and Hazell? All the others are deceased. OK with me if Lewis is included, too. Pees had a 6-5 year. martin a 6-6 year.

I would think that the toughest row to hoe for any coach would be recruiting.

As of today, Lewis is not mentioned on the Buffalos web site as part of Coach Prime's staff. I thought this was a done deal. There are 11 other assistant coaches listed.

His Twitter feed is full of Colorado news so I would assume it's a slip up.

This from a day ago. They probably just don't maintain their website well.

If this Coach Prime things works well at Colorado, maybe it will pave the way for Coach Cribs at Kent...

RE: Sean Lewis
I'm down for a Cribbs HC/QB - Edelman OC/WR - HARRISON DC/LB - Archer RB - Gates TE - Winter OL - Nix DL - Young DB. That's a lot of nfl experience. Offense wouldn't have to worry about dropping passes. The defense would be the strongest and hardest hitting in the country.

Perhaps Oregon is teaching the Buffs a lesson in humility this afternoon. Aside from all the passing, I've thoroughly enjoyed this game.
