Redshirt is burnt unless there's some sort of injury down the road where he can apply for medical hardship.

I'm going to be in Louisville this weekend. Does anyone know of any bars that'll have the game on or just any good bars in general around downtown?

RE: Crosstown Shootout
Xavier, there's a difference between being afraid and feeling helpless. You see, you're afraid when you don't know what's coming, and when you don't know what's lurking in the dark. Helpless is when you know what's coming and you can't do anything about it.

Xavier, I don't think you're afraid. Because I think you know what's coming. You know the beating that you're about to get. That's no mystery. That's not something you're wondering about. It's as certain as the smile on my face at it happens.

I do think you're helpless. You know what's coming. You know you can't stop it. You know there's nothing you can do about it.

I'm glad you're not scared.

Mark and Billy swear by Trixie's Gold Room. Drinks are expensive.

Tough standard on redshirts compared with college football, isn't it? I think coaches need more latitude in a 30 game season such as basketball compared with a 12 game football schedule where players get multiple opportunities to play.

I hope the men shoot better against Eggzavier than UC's women did (10-56, .179).

Every year I get pi$$ed and say I'm not going to bother to watch this game next year.

Here we are again and... [SIGH]... i guess I'm going to watch it.

I'm not going to watch it. My daughter just came home for her college semester break so I'm going to spend time with her. I'll DVR the game. My prediction...one team is going to look like a well oiled machine with a chip on their shoulder that they got this win in a bitter rivalry. Better talent, confidence, execution and coaching acumen will be on full display. That team is not playing in the home unis. Hope bigly I'm surprised at the final result...

Understand.

While I'm cautiously optimistic about Wes Miller's rebuild, the "Under Construction" signs are still up and the work isn't finished on the foundation, much less the whole structure. The other Miller inherited substantial veteran talent.

Last year's best ever football season and CFP appearance even superseded the joy of the '92 Final Four which was considerable. Basketball will improve but getting a taste of New Year's bowls and Big 12 entry has moved football to top priority for many of us. This year's Shootout isn't must see TV for me personally.

Spread is only 2.5. That is crazy in my opinion, but Vegas is usually right. Maybe this is our year!!

I'll DVR it and hope to watch an unexpected victory later. We have a houseful of out-of-town family at that hour for an early Christmas gathering.

Go Bearcats!

RE: Crosstown Shootout
Somehow, I have this one day with nothing at all scheduled, unusual this close to the holidays. I will be watching the game, as long as it is watchable. I won't stick around for a second half versus Northern Kentucky type fiasco.

It does feel like either a win or a 20-point loss, doesn't it.

Give Lahkin some good help down low on defense. maybe we get the win.

I’m mostly pessimistic on the basketball program until we get to the B12 and I start reading about competitive NIL pacakages going to our players/recruits, but my eyes will be peeled to the screen regardless.

Someone like Nolley will be unconscious today. X isn't great defensively.
