Also, this game literally means nothing and benching guys who you're going to have to count on is counter-productive.

Guys showing some pride and playing harder than GTech. Great start to second half Players and coach Burno. Keep up the aggressive play and hustle.

Holy Sh!t

Coach Pastner (GT) has never had a carbonated or caffeinated drink in his life (apparently not alcoholic either).

NIU - 37
GT - 46

This game is interesting!

You can see some stress and frustration in GT causing a little panic in their movement.

Wasn’t saying he needs to be benched, he’s the only spot up shooter on the team..need to scheme something defensively so he isn’t driven on every possession.

I guess I misiterpreted what you meant by "Not sure how much Coit can be on the floor."

Sounded like you were questioning him playing.

1-17 since we got it down to 7. Love the effort but how does this happen? We hit 35% and we are in a ballgame.

Next opponent (Sam Houston St) is currently leading Utah by 3 at the half.

And potential opponent (LIU) is losing to Marquette by 28 early in the 2nd and other potential opponent (South Dakota) is losing to Mississippi State by 23 at the half.

Final

NIU - 50
GT - 68

I'm actually okay with that final, especially with how they started the game and then came out in the 2nd half. Never thought we'd win and kinda figured it'd be 20+ spread so keeping it to 18 is fine by me.

Nutter had a really good game. 18 pts, 15 rebounds (5 OFF), 1 assist. Messed around and got a double-double.

He's still got some things to iron out but he's going to be a steady backbone leadership guy on this team.

Agree - needed to win the 2nd half to take something away from this game. Nutter brings so much to the team with his athleticism and ability defensively, great addition to the roster.

Hope we can get an update on Niederhauser’s timeline, want to see what he can bring to the team.

Sam Houston beat Utah by ten in Salt Lake, so they are for real. I noticed Burno mentioned in the 11/14 press conference that Niederhauser is about two weeks out and they will know more early next week.

Nothing like trying to make an 18 point loss a positive.

When down by 23 points at the half it is sort of positive only losing by 18.
Kind of like NIU footbal losing to Toledo at home by 20 points. We beat em in the 2nd half by 8 points. Take the positives where ever you can find them!
Low expectations are not easily beaten.

For THIS team?

Yes. An 18 point loss to a Major conference foe especially when down by 23 at the half. Yes..there are positives to be gleaned from that.
