RE: Our Bowl Future now
Other than Kennesaw, Navy and Miami, teams are scoring 21-27 points a game on UC. Temple will likely get to that range. UC hasn’t been able to score 31 or more points since 10/1 against Tulsa. Would need Temple to stall offensively and for UC to score some TDs on special teams and defense to beat that spread.

RE: Our Bowl Future now
I'm really an optimist but any concerns about UC's performance at Temple are well justified. Was it -3 yards of offense after the first quarter against unranked ECU during Nip' at Night? Almost unbelievable and it took several defensive stands to hang on to a two point lead. ECU is better than Temple but the Owls have suddenly figured out how to score and UC has forgotten what a sustained scoring drive looks like.

My rational mind says UC takes care of business. My emotional self says the Owls will wreck UC's farewell tour in the American. Here's hoping rationality prevails to set up an epic Senior Day at Nippert.

If UC advances to the CCG but loses, don't discount the possibility of the Bearcats filling a P5 slot in a better bowl. That often happens given that the bowls sometimes contract for more P5 participants than can be supplied. UC has some swagger these days, a P5 future, and good audience numbers so the Bearcats would be an attractive choice to plug and play.

For a 7th straight week...might want to go against UC in the spread.

Buy yourself a boat. Lol

I've said for a long time now, Vegas usually gets it right. For some reason, not with UC this year. Anyone recommend a reputable betting site?

I'm not sure there is a team in America that Gino's offense can outsxore by 3 TDS.

I made $$ on Tulsa, SMU, USF, and even the loss at UCF. I forgot to bet on ECU since I was traveling. I'll be better.

This line is so epically goofy it sets off alarms, though.

Temple has suddenly figured out how to score is a little generous. They scored 36 vs Houston; less than half of what Houston had given up a week earlier. They scored vs USF the week before who fired their coach. I'm not buying. They're still last in the league in scoring through 10 games. If we don't cover I expect it to be because its 24-13 type game; not because we win 31-27.

Some kind of interesting AAC bowl projections updated today from The Athletic:

1. They have UC in the Liberty Bowl against Kansas.
2. UCF gets the Cotton Bowl against Penn St.
3. Tulane v. Coastal Carolina in Birmingham
4. Memphis v. Syracuse @ Fenway
5. ECU v. Louisville in the Military Bowl
6. Houston v. Louisiana in the Independence Bowl
7. Air Force v. SMU in the Armed Forces Bowl

Pretty good line up honestly. Good mix of P5 and top level G5 teams. Rather see UC and UCF flipped though

I would go to the Liberty. Had a great time when UC took down SEC Vanderbilt.

I didn't know we had some type of tie in to the liberty this year.

It would require SEC to not have enough BE teams or a swap.

The SEC will have 10 bowl eligible teams guaranteed by this weekend and could have a couple more in 2 weeks.

Then it would be a swap. I think our last Liberty invite was a swap.

Yeah they don't go into a lot of explanation but it looks like we would be taking the SEC Nos 3-8 slot in that scenario against Kansas (B12 #5). Similarly, Coastal Carolina would be taking the SEC #9 slot against Tulane in the Birmingham Bowl.

Essentially it's an ESPN gets what ESPN wants interpretation: "ESPN Events owns and operates 16 of the 41 FBS bowls, most of them involving the Group of 5 conferences. They have latitude to move teams around to create interesting matchups."

Liberty was fun. Collaros, Winn, RDA4, Pead (MVP).

I have consistently seen predictions of Military, Birmingham and 1 Liberty, if we don't make the NY6. All are driveable, so I'm liking my chances.
