DEFENSE DOESN’T MATTER AND 4 OF OUR TDs WERE RUNNING PLAYS!! BORING AND UNACCEPTABLE!!

I love it. I’ve (and maybe others) said I want an emphasis on offense and that translates to “Who gives a **** about defense?” for some. Only on here.

You wanna watch us play 1970s football? Cool, enjoy more “meh” recruiting classes and attendance.

Agreed. No one who has criticized the style of football we play and the offensive play calling has said defense doesn't matter. Pretty ignorant.

Very ignorant.

Congrats to Vincent and the team for coming together and putting together a really solid game. Hopkins looked really solid after missing a few games too.

Wonder if Vincent goes for the upset next week or hold his horses back for the La Tech and bowl eligibility?

After watching the game today, I couldn’t help but think this team is a right tackle and a dominant rush end away from being undefeated in spite of the fumbles and penalties and poor coaching adjustments.

It’s quite possible. We weren’t that far away, at least the bad luck ran out today. I still disagree with not going two the first time and definitely the second time we scored a td to go up 12.(this exact same scenario basically played out last week, almost down to the exact second on the clock, the only reason UTSA won is because they went for and got the 2)

He set the record with 2 games left and he didn’t even play in the first game. He is so damn good. Even though this season has been one to forget, I’ve really enjoyed watching him play.

Ok, everyone, I don’t have time to apply the sarcasm font constantly. One would think, in this case, it wouldn’t be necessary…

No.

Nobody had problems with you being sarcastic. They had problems with you being an ass.

UAB went 13-17 on third down conversions. Zero punts. Jeepers!

Vincent has absolutely nothing to lose. I hope he goes balls to the wall, does crazy ****, whatever it takes to actually try and compete with, and beat, LSU. I never felt like Clark took these games seriously, and we continually got embarrassed. At least go out swinging Vincent.

And beat the hell out of La tech the next week.

In the post game radio interview, Vincent was asked how he was going to celebrate the win. He said we had a DE commit that he was going to dinner with - "As long as we're still here, we're gonna keep recruiting."

1. Love that attitude. Not a fan of his playcalling/decision making, but you can tell he loves UAB, the team, and has pride in the program. I appreciate that.

2. Telling quote about his future. Sounds like he already knows his fate.

It’s likely one or the other. Going down swinging against LSU likely involved beating the hell out of our team physically. Taking it easy is whatever. At this point, beating LSU would likely be the only thing Vincent could sell as to why he should keep the job. I personally don’t believe he’s creative enough or willing to take the risks to do what it takes to beat a team like LSU. Every single UAB fan knows, man to man we are outmatched. It will take something special to beat them.

Surprise me Vincent! Make me second guess how I feel about you.

The downside is like someone else said, we get players beat up or injured and lessen our chances against LaTech, BUT all I want is to try. It does feel like Clark didn't really put much emphasis on the P5 games, especially the SEC ones but we kept getting teams in thier playoff contention years.

I don’t think there’s any reason to think Clark didn’t take SEC games seriously…I think it’s more that he built amazing records by beating awful teams, and got exposed by SEC teams
