I haven’t noticed much from the Sun Belt in the past. How many times has a team received an at-large bid the the dance? What is the deepest run in the NCAA tourney of any Sun Belt team that has made it?

I love college basketball, but have concerns about several teams in the league not being fully invested and some of the road trips will be brutal for Thursday/Saturday swings in BFE

Started at almost 200 and dropped 149 spots. That really puts things in perspective.

This is hilarious. With a Jeff Jones offense, I don't think we could run away with a rec league. Plus he's put together a patch worked roster through the transfer portal. None of the additions are compelling besides Stanley. It will be miracle if ODU is a Top 150 team this season.

Hard disagree. Having been to a few practices, Tyreek Scott-Grayson and Chaunce Jenkins will both be guaranteed impact players this season. Dericko Williams and Faizon Fields have the ability to play from day 1 and have an impact. And Bryce Baker has a ton of potential to grow into a great player here.

I'm talking about proven performance rather than potential. Stanley was a stud at Hampton. Tyreek Scott-Grayson is a proven role player. I forgot about him. After those two guys, ODU has a lot of transfers that haven't proven themselves.

Oh I didn't say anything about running the league. That was Pride. I just believe we have more compelling additions than just Ben Stanley, who is a great teammate and should do wonderful things for us.

It's hard for me to access how the team will stack up in the Sun Belt this season. We have what appears to be some good transfers. We also seem to have a deep roster of athletic players that should be able to contribute. Jeff is a defense first coach so I expect that will be the case again this season and his team will likely make it difficult for the other team to score in the half court. I'm hopeful that he will expand the rotation and employ more of a full court defensive approach, but I don't expect that he will.
