Well when you settle for a 50 yard FG. Props to that kid for giving that kick a chance

Yep, it looks like 3-0 Tulane is the new standard bearer for the AAC, LOL.

Among the four new schools going P5 next year, it appears UC might be the only one "Big 12 Ready" based upon the early results this season. A victory Saturday over B10 Indiana would be another point for that argument. After the Hoosiers needed three overtime periods to beat Western Kentucky in Bloomington yesterday, I like our chances in the Nipp.

I know this a bit premature but I hope next Saturday is when we click on all cylinders for two-halfs of Bearcat football. Let's really sock it to those damn Hoosiers and set up our big run in the conference.

Bolded, I feel the same way. I have a good friend who is a loyal Hoosier fan but also really knows college football. LOL, he (and many of their diehards) still believes IU would have won if their defensive stud hadn't been ejected on a targeting penalty.

Some Hoosier fans think they encountered a fluke G5 team last year. Let's hope that on Saturday our Bearcats prove beating Indiana last year was no aberration. I'm not predicting this, but if UC cleans up a few things I think they could run IU out of the Nipp.

AAC craps the bed again. UC will not get a "quality" win that will turn any heads from here on out. Just need to go out as AAC champs and hope the chips fall in place for a NY6 bowl slot.

Big12 can't get here any sooner.

Before you poo-poo the conference in its entirety, don't undersell Tulane. They are undefeated 3-0 for the first time since the late 80s and beat Kansas State on the road yesterday. We play them at the Nip the last game of the regular season. May be a preview of the conference championship. Marshall took a blow to their nuts for the NY6 bid so we just need to keep winning and the rest will take care of itself.

I like that it is a 3:30 kickoff time too. Plenty of time for UC fans to get snookered up and crazed before the first whistle blows...

Personally 3:30 is my favorite kickoff time. I usually coach a soccer game in the morning and the game ends in time for me to come home and either watch another game or do something else.

3:30 on Saturday works for me. Plenty of time to tailgate.

The Miami game did not give me any confidence that this UC team can put together two good halves.

If they play a first half against Indiana like the one they played against Miami, I don’t like their chances.

No one wants to hear it, but I still feel, that the QB position is a liability.

Prater must be pretty bad.

The only thing that bothers me about that statement was that all the podcasts leading up to the game talked about whether we could handle a b10 road game and what would happen when we played a team with b10 depth and recruiting? Set aside that we recruit at or above the level of low to mid level b10 schools (and probably win a good chunk of those head to heads), if their b10 depth was an actual thing and not something they just told themselves to feed their egos or sense of superiority, you would have thought that their second stringer would have come in and picked up the slack for the guy that got ejected. instead, they got handled.

Honestly, i'm looking forward to listening to the iu podcasts this week. i'm interested in hearing the narratives, both about iu but also their thoughts on us. Do they still think of us as nothing more than the g5 standard bearer or are they going to give us legitimate respect?

RE: 2022 College Football Season Thread
I don't really care what fans think. Coaches around college football respect our program and what it has become under Big Fick. We aren't a gimmick X's and O's team. We play smash mouth, physical, attacking style with some big, athletic dudes on both sides of the ball. I try to post the opposing coach's pressers each game week and listen to what they say. Shoot, the Arkansas coach said after the game he didn't want to play Cincinnati again [on the road] because he knew they could have [should have] lost that game. It was also a physical, helmet knockin' game and some of his players got dinged up as a result.

Indiana fans? They're miserable. Why? Because their hoops went to shiit after Bob Knight left and when have they really ever played well in football outside of a few blips on the multi-decades radar? B1G bottom dwellers. Fuggin' carp sucking off the B1G mud. They can't handle the truth.
