RE: Vin Scully
I flew to LA in (I think) Sept 2016. Messed around that afternoon and went to the hotel. Caught the end of the Dodgers game on tv - and found out it was Scully's last home game call. Had I known, I would have gotten tix. They had a big post-game celebration and Scully sang a cheesy love song to his wife over the PA and on local tv. I have the video on my phone. To top it off, the Dodgers clinched the playoffs that day, but Scully said he wasn't going to call post-season.

He was a good one. Are there any great old-timer bb announcers left?

RE: Vin Scully
Wolo is at the other end of the spectrum.

Vin Scully was the youngest announcer to ever call a World Series game. Enough said.
