RE: incoming portal
Looks like he finished batting .273 this past season after a rough patch. Though he wasn't getting many PAs. Could be why he decided to transfer. He went from 21 starts and 83 ABs (12BBs) during the championship year. But last season he only had 4 starts and 33 ABs (1BB).

Also in his twitter announcement for the transfer, the MSU fans were thanking him for his time there and giving him credit for helping win the national championship.

He hit over 300 at NWCC, but it was a big step up from juco to one of top Div 1 programs around.

True. And to still be a contributor to their championship makes it look like he will be a quality addition.

Thanks I didn't know that. That helps explain why so many of the fans were giving him credit.

Also ncdbl mentioned a pitching transfer was coming from Georgia. His name is Glenn Green III. Here are some vids for those interested.

In the highlights video is his catcher a girl? Very small and very curly locks.

I’ve been watching the CWS, and that seems to be the style now. Arkansas took out one skinny pitcher with a curly flowing red mullet and put in another skinny pitcher with a curly flowing red mullet.

Luke Ellis a left handed pitcher is transferring to the Tigers from Ole Miss. He is from Somerville Tn. He's young but it looks like he has good stuff/potential. We need all the pitching we can get.

Yeah. I could be wrong, but I think I saw something awhile back saying Stranger Things may have at least been a part of what caused the mullet to make a comeback.

While looking up Ellis I found these profiles. The site had both Ellis and Green rated very high (9.5/10).

Luke Ellis

Glenn Green III

Nice. Much easier to go see him now.

Here's an interview with Glenn Green.

https://www.localmemphis.com/article/spo...008b3bb029

He said this at the end.

Quote:“Ever since I came in I had some of my old teammates that are at Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Florida, these big schools are like ‘hey you think coach would talk to me?'" Green said.

He pinch ran in the 9th, stole 2nd, and scored on the game winning hit to get them in the finals.
