IMHO, this is a sure sign D.J. Stepney is moving back to the offensive side of the ball and why CMU added two JUCO safeties for next season.

CMU does have depth at RB.

While I would have preferred he stayed, I understand he's looking at a very crowded backfield with a lot of talent and playing time might be limited.

I appreciate Kobe Lewis for everything that he did at Central Michigan. Kobe's leadership will be missed.

That said, I am more pleased that Lew Nichols is with the program, and I honestly believe that Central has a handful of capable (or better) RBs to pick up the slack.
