RE: Josh Minott BOH!!!!
Minot was the second best recruit from last season. He was as lost as emoni was at the start of the season, but he showed toughness and stuck it out. He, like Landers, left because there was no bond formed with Penny. This is Penny's responsibility, and so far with the exception of his East players he hasn't be able to find the key. Maybe Penny needs a little Dale Carnegie. Or maybe he just needs more time to become rightly seasoned. Let us hope that happens this year.

I can just imagine fans of other schools who know nothing about us, reading your incoherent ramblings. He left because he has no bond with Penny? You think he lacks seasoning? He is the Pied Piper, he is the center of attention whenever he enters a room. Something is wrong with you.

RE: Josh Minott BOH!!!!
Minott and Duren are going to the NBA combine
Williams and Lester were not on the combine list

Feel bad for them but does that mean no draft? Or not a realistic draft opportunity?

Minott left to go to the NBA. Tell us how a better bond with Penny would have kept Minott from chasing his ultimate NBA dream?

You guys try so hard to create a dramatic twist. It would be comical if it wasn't real. C'mon Tiger87, if you keep bringing logic to this board, how are we going to stir up some good s#!%?!

There’s nothing dramatic about it… its factual. He declared for the draft & entered the transfer portal. If he opts for another year of college, it will not be at Memphis.

Wtf are you talking about? It is incredible how posters will literally make stuff no matter if it is completely lacking any semblance of facts or common sense.

That will likely fix itself, but it may not be until after all the East guys and his son are gone.

other than entering the transfer portal on 4/29 after initially declaring on 3/24 he had no intention of returning to Memphis… what else do you need?

Entering the portal does not "remove any chance". It simply leaves all options open once deadlines to enter the portal have passed.
Only one thing Josh has been very clear of - his dream to get to the NBA as quickly as possible.
There is nothing Penny could have done to keep him from his dream - other than maybe tackling him during a layup a la Dillon Brooks.

Interesting. I guess that's a sort of "waiver" process. And likely does only apply to returning to the previous school. The rule is still set for a deadline to withdraw.
