Appears Rick wants 4 guards mostly interchangeable at all times. Which probably is a good strategy to win CUSA.

WKU not done yet either. Expected to add 2 more to accompany the 2 former 4 stars and former 5 star we have picked up already in Rawls, Allen, and Lander. CUSA should be loaded at the top next year and produce another season of high level ball.

The main deadline was last night. So if there is no one new in the portal for your team, chances are you're good. Kids can still transfer after May 1st but they have to sit out a year (or go to a JUCO if they're young enough).

This is correct, should be mostly additions from this point on. Congrats to MTSU for being the only school in the conference with no players entering the portal - almost unheard of these days. I think I have everyone updated but if I have missed someone please let me know.

That is pretty remarkable. There are a total of 1646 players on the men's side in the portal, which is well over 40 percent of all eligible transfers in NCAA Division 1 ball (but down from the 1729 portal entrants in 2021). In women's basketball, the total number is 1211 (which is slightly more than 2021) - that's probably at least 1/3 of all eligible players? Rice had zero on the women's side at least (4 on the men's side, but only 2 underclass entrants - two were graduating seniors).

There were only 19 women's schools without an entrant. I haven't seen a men's total, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's also less than 20?

Cannot even keep main guys anymore, minor league farm system. Not head coaches anymore, agents.
