What was your favorite thread that went on far too long, morphed into multiple tangents while also having good comedy at the end.

Off the top of my head is the recent Jayvon Drucker 28 page thread.
My favorite thread is a tie between "Whiskey D*ck's getting a hot tip off the blower" thread and "Getting inside info from Shantone Powers' girlfriend" thread.

Man, I remember when I used to have sources in athletics... broke the alcohol sales at Huskie Stadium news and the AAC reps touring campus, but those sources have long dried up

The Aid to Africa thread is one for the OGs, I think it may have predated me even, or was going on at the time when I joined. Really anything involving discussions of who to ban ended up going longer than they should. Or when 7 deleted his account for some, still, unknown reason and people got concerned.
