I Like The Tailgate Idea...
I'm too late for this season, but I'd be willing to get a spot for next year if I don't get relocated. Anyone up for this year???

Another poster referred to a CSN tailgate for CSN posters to hang out (kinda like a meet and greet). Now that our fan base has doubled (at least) on the board, I like the idea. It would be good for visiting fans to be welcome as well.

I think it's a cool idea

RE: I Like The Tailgate Idea...
I think the guy with the cold beer flag already volunteered and is in the west lot. That is ideal because everyone goes through there eventually.

He has a couple flags on that pole. Would be nothing to get a CSNbbs flag made and he can hang that, too. Biggest thing will be getting people to commit on the board prior to the game. Not fair to make him work for ten extra people that never show up. And same thing if you're traveling. Let the other fans know you're coming and with how many so they can prepare accordingly.

I did find it a bit disheartening that only Marshall fans really replied to that topic. Of course we're known for being hospitable. I don't think most of the SBC, especially the west, travels that well in numbers that make an impact. They won't know what hit them when we start moving around the conference. There's no east team we'll take less than 2-3000 to. And I'd say 1000+ to most west teams, especially if something is on the line. As tight as the east race will be, something will always be on the line.

I started the thread and it didn't get much traction (I also have a habit of forgetting to keep up with threads)
The user NGHerd was the one with the "cold Beer" flag on the west lot.

I'll reach out to him and see if he wants to put up a CSN/SBCbbs flag. I've got a decent relationship with the dude at EmbroidMe (he does my shirts for work and stickers) so the flag shouldn't be a problem if they do that kind of work
Worst case, after some of the other teams, especially the East teams, get to know us better, the idea might catch on

Worst case, we can put together a Traveling Herd caravan and throw up a SBCbbs flag where ever we go

Shane ftw. Know him well. He was a mainstay at Stats right down the plaza there when I owned it. Probably still is.

He could put his logo in the corner on there for some great advertising to locals.
