I'm with you on this theory. Penny either explained to Tyler that he would not be promised the playing time he received this past season due to guys he knows he can get to come in or Penny knows the scholarship reductions coming from the NCAA and said to Tyler we can't guarantee you a spot with the reductions and new guys coming. Tyler's pride was either hurt by this and his mom (the protector) was emotional and said what she said.

That is my opinion, yes sir. I have no reason to change it. Especially with some things I was told. I totally get that you may not like my opinion. But that’s no reason to trash each other. We can agree to disagree. Hey, I love the tigers. You obviously do too. Because you are here on this board.

First, bashing each other is a high priority on this board.

Second, not everyone on this board is really a big Tiger fan, especially not in all sports.

Third, everyone on this board is almost always expressing opinions unless they are quoting actual statistics... even then it's usually an interpretation of those stats.

Lastly, I think almost everyone on this thread is confusing spot, starting, playing time with scholarship. Don't forget, Tyler was a walk on player last season. He/his family might've been expecting a scholly or possibly NIL money. Penny could've very well told him that there wouldn't be a spot on the team next season like the mom claims, but I find that very hard to believe.

I don't doubt his ability to have plenty of players lined up under normal circumstances, and I truly hope he does. However, until I see them in a Tiger uniform I will remain guardedly optimistic.
