The white and brown bronco with yellow trim like the one they are showing on CBS SN looks absolutely terrible on TV.

I ment to take a picture of the center 4 sided scoreboard @ the X to illustrate a point, but I'll try to describe. Square box, divided in half vertically, on the left half was the gold Bulldog (going left to right) outlined in black on a gold background. On the right side was our gold dot on a brown background.

I was imagining how great this would have looked if instead of the dot, they had the old Bronco image (going right to left). Get it, "Frozen Face Off", Bulldogs vs Broncos.

Noticed how the wild center ice logo faces left. Our new logo and colors is so bad. At least we got those old beautiful uni’s

RE: What’s the latest on the WMU color and logo rebrand
I found it funny when they were announcing the top four teams on ESPN yesterday that they had to clarify it was Western Michigan (with that ugly circle W) and not Worcester. The circle W is so meaningless and generic -- our logo was so much more identifiable when we had the W with bronco. If they had to change it up they could have just made a cool "WMU". Instead we are left with a circle W with a comic sans looking font that everyone hates.

Saw that and it was quite embarrassing for WMU that Buccigross had to explain who that stupid logo was. Thanks Tony!

It's possible that he was informing everyone that was our logo because the hockey team doesn't really use it?

Has anyone seen what Vanderbilt did? Same energy for sure.

I did see the vandy rebrand. Wouldn't surprise me if they reverse course on this (or let athletics use old) after listening to the students, alumni, supporters. They are also planning to rework the star v and give it new life.

You would think Montgomery and his administration would listen to students, alumni, and supports. Obviously, they don't care and BOT has his back. I've lost all faith.

Loved reading this article. I thought you could delete Vanderbilt and insert WMU:

Vanderbilt's new logo is a tremendous self-inflicted wound

I read this last night. The thoughts of the article are even more geared toward WMU., IMO.

Not really. Had a great day. I just don't care about Vandy's logo.

Any idea if we are at least going to have brand consistency at Waldo this season? New turf, paint, etc...? Or are we still dragging this out for another season?

Yeah, the school has been getting hammered on Instagram with bad rebrand comments. Keep it up. We can’t ever settle for this crap this person gave us.

This doesn't surprise me at all. I continue to run into students and alumni who either hate it or don't care because they don't wear WMU gear. It cracks me up how the channel 3 poll continues to get brought up as it was manipulated over the July 4th, 2021 weekend FOR the new logos/colors. I bet it is in the neighborhood of 90% for the previous (Dunn rebrand) logos versus 10% for the new (Proudfoot) logos -- I'm talking for people who actually care. I bet the majority of the 10% are alumni who graduated over 30 years ago.

Trust me, I wouldn't have believed it either if a number of us didn't witness it happening in real time. It was either a bot or someone had way too much time on their hands for a holiday weekend. The poll wasn't even close until that weekend -- and I wasn't about to waste my weekend on a poll.
