Looks like we'll probably be playing another goaltender capable of standing on his hand: Northeastern's Devon Levi.

UMD didn’t allow a goal to Denver or WMU this weekend. They were the 5th seed in the NCHC and just might win another natty. Wow on a number of different levels

Still proud of this team I just hope this doesn’t derail our ncaa tourney run.

I think this will help them. Gives them things to work on and something to think about.

The UM "Non-game" win would still have us at #3, however, would have kept um at #2, not 1.

Northeastern has played a whopping 5 games against teams that made the NCAA tourney…they went 2-3 in those games (and 1 win was Harvard).

We’ve played 20 games against tourney teams. We’ve lost just 1 game against non tourney teams. (Omaha 1-0). Northeastern has lost 9.

Yeah, I think you got it. I think this is how it stacks up if nobody gets moved to a certain site.

1. Michigan
2. Quinnipiac
3. St. Cloud St
4. AIC

1. Minnesota St
2. North Dakota
3. Notre Dame
4. Harvard

1. Western Michigan
2. Minnesota
3. UMass
4. Northeastern

1. Denver
2. Minnesota Duluth
3. Michigan Tech
4. Mass-Lowell

Yep same as me. Only one flip was needed…St Cloud and Notre Dame.

With WMU and Minn St brackets on the same side.

We can certainly win that regional.

Minnesota is tough but they looked awfully flat vs scum and only made it close with 2 late goals in the 3rd to make it 4-3.

Gotta win game one though. It’s easy to overlook someone and the next minute you’re going home (SCSU vs AIC a few years ago).

I think our region is pretty tough. Minnesota is loaded with talent. UMass is the defending champ. Northeastern has the best goalie in the country. But, all the regions are tough at this point. And I like that Michigan, Denver, & Duluth would all be on the other side of the draw.

Minnesota is also more like Michigan.....A team where our style of play matches up well.

Northeastern is 3rd in the nation in goals against with giving up an average of 1.78 goals per game.

The good news is that they’re not Minnesota Duluth but their goalie will absolutely be capable of stealing one.

There are honestly no easy games but at least we possibly dodged a NCHC team in our region.

Those are very good numbers and I don’t want to diminish them. But I am curious what Bussi’s numbers would be against a similar schedule.

Is that the "Bandy" style of hockey we played vs UMD?

Western is 0-7 in the NCAA's. Win game 1, then worry about the seeding.

Exactly! Hope the Conference championship game hurts and now they can go out and do some damage

I'm also of the mind with this loss in the conference tournament final, there are some really goods lessons learned. In order to be successful in the National Tournament, they'll have to clean those up.

But having one of the #1 seeds is huge, as long as they keep winning, they will have the last line change all the way until the Championship Game, getting the matchups they want. But we need to win the first one...

It was also a relatively quiet weekend from the 1st line (Frank, Worrad, Gallant), Attard & Joyaux. The young guns carried us vs NoDak.

I can't imagine the vets stay quiet two weekends in a row.
