RE: Putin's Puppet
This war started in 2014 the minute Ukraine started to align more with the west. Any idiot trying to somehow blame this on Trump should get their head examined.

Yes, you’d have to be an idiot to blame this war on Trump. You’d also have to be an idiot to not recognize why Trump calls Putin a genius & shows more support for him than the American President. Eric Trump’s quote I posted earlier will help you figure it out if you haven’t already.

I'm not too concerned with anything Eric trump says. I'm more concerned that Biden lifted sanctions on Russian pipelines and blocked those in north America. What a blunder that turned out to be.

Oh wait, I thought you just brought up Trump. Funny how that pivots to Biden when I bring up the fact that the Trumps finance their businesses with Russian money. No conflict of interest right?

It wasn't Trump. It wasn't Biden. It was PUTIN plain and simple. Putin will manipulate and destroy anyone who gets in his way and exploit anyone he can't to get what he wants.

Um, this thread is about Trump. For some reason people are blaming this mess on him. He's the only president in the modern era who's term saw no new wars but it's his fault? Nevermind the five peace deals he brokered.
Calling Putin a genius was about his ego. Putin invaded Georgia under W., Crimea under Obama and now Ukraine under Biden. He was saying Putin was a genius strategically for not doing anything while he was in office. It had nothing to do with supporting his actions.

RE: Putin's Puppet
Colin,

Thank you for a more reasonable response. But you should clearly see the threads of history here. Putin did miscalculate here as you commented, because he’s seen decades of weakness from the Left, who is mostly running the show here and in Europe. The examples are legion, several of which I pointed out. Putin was a man of the Left, working for the flagship of the Left, who now only cares for himself and his idea of Russian legacy. He’s a slightly less murderous version of Stalin who doesn’t have to mouth communist bromides.

Much of the Republican Party is returning to an isolationist bent, the neoconservatives are completely unreasonable with messianic visions, and the Left is always focused first on the revolution at home and whatever that requires at the moment. If you want a return to Big Stick Teddy foreign policy, good luck with that—I’m for it—but there’s little hunger left for that these days.

Putin also refers to anyone who doesn't think like him as Nazis. You 2 have something in common

RE: Putin's Puppet
If you want a bunch of Republicans to get all in on Ukraine, then Obama needs to do a 50-state weeks long apology tour for the behavior of his 2012 campaign against Romney and actually believe it. Better yet, make journalists do the same. Because those Republicans have had the football yanked away from them since the 70s on Russia specifically. Most have no interest in committing to positions that cost us at home when they will still be attacked and blamed for it, and in the end the American people won’t be willing to see it through.

This thread did not blame this on Trump. It's pointing out that Trump is Putin's puppet. A reasonable conclusion to make since Russia funds Trump's businesses and Trump is still calling Putin a genius after he invaded a free nation. You need to work on your reading comprehension.

Read the thread. People on here are clearly blaming Trump for this.
Trump is a billionaire. You think he really needs money from Russia?

Well, he has a lot of legal expenses.

He doesn't stiff his lawyers (except Giuliani). Just most everybody else he owes money to.

I'm sure they haven't reported on Ukraine's 13 Wuhan -type bio labs that the US has funded that Putin just destroyed to prevent future pandemics. There's way more going on than what corporate media is reporting, like always.

The resident anti-vaxxer has Russia thoughts too.

If Trump had any sense he would keep his comments in regards to Putin to his golfing buddies. The Russian run state media loves that type of propaganda.

So much for that. He's still focused on a bigger issue than war in Ukraine: Hunter Biden's laptop

Trump asks Putin to release any info about Hunter Biden

Both Democrats and Republicans have criticized Trump for calling Putin a "genius" for his bloody military campaign in Ukraine.

By Zoë Richards

Amid widespread criticism of his praise for Russian President Vladimir Putin, former President Donald Trump publicly called on Putin on Tuesday to release any dirt he might have on Hunter Biden, the president’s son.

Trump, in an interview with Just the News, seized on an unsubstantiated claim about Biden’s obtaining a hefty payment from Elena Baturina, the former wife of the late former mayor of Moscow, and asked Putin to provide details.

“She gave him $3.5 million, so now I would think Putin would know the answer to that. I think he should release it,” Trump said. “I think we should know that answer.”

Maybe we should hire Mueller to investigate the Biden family.
