Jacob's got two technicals. The second tech was for staring at the opponent for a couple seconds while moving away from him after a big dunk.

"Staring" may not be the right word. I'd call it "glancing".

I didn't see what happened other than the calorically challenged dude from CMU appeared to be pushing Sendy back towards the locker room. I would be pretty pissed if someone did that to me too. Seemed like maybe it was just jawing that the coaches got into as well before that. We definitely have a knack for getting under teams skin.

No, it appeared to be some guy probably employed by the arena or he was game day staff in some way.

That was more of a slugfest than I was expecting. They retaliated every time we got within 1 right before the end.
I'm incredibly irritated every time I look at the standings and see OU and Toledo ahead of us. Looks like we will need OU and Toledo to trip up this week. Plus, and most important, we cannot lose.

OU is behind us. We win the tiebreaker against them.

It would be H2H but we split with them. So it then will be record against Toledo and we beat them twice and they lost twice. Therefore, if there is a 3 way tie, we will be the #1 seed.

Also, from the weird category, if UB sweeps us and we finish 15-5 in conference and they finish 14-5, they will jump us in the standings for the conf. tourney seeding.

How could Buffalo jump us? Doesn’t the league go ny winning percentage? 15-5 is ,750.

14-5 is .737.

KSU would be a half game ahead of UB if both finish with 5 losses. If KSU and. UT win Tuesday, KSU would be 2nd by beating UB, 3rd by losing. The only way KSU’ could finish 4th is by losing both games next week.

The MAC is the ONLY conference in America (of the 31) that does not go by winning percentage. What I typed earlier is a fact. If they sweep us and have one less win, they will jump us.

That call ridiculous, lying out of bounds with ball in his hands and they give CMU the ball. Refs totally created lack of tempo in this game. Another example of Refs making game about them and not kids. Just awful

Winning the MAC regular season title would be nice, but KSU doesn't control their own destiny. Getting a good seed is nice, too, but since most people only care about winning the conference tournament the bottom line is that SOMEONE will win three tough games and it will be the team that deserves it. I hope, of course, it is the Flashes but I would say it's a toss-up among five teams. That's the MAC.

The two seed plays in the best Thursday spot in my opinion. Probably a 4:30 ish tip off.

Sometimes a lower seed can work out even better. In 2001 KSU lost a tough one at Akron that cost them the #1 seed. But I was pleased, not with losing to Akron but to getting the #2 seed and thereby having a relatively easier path to the championship game. Miami, Ohio and CMU (the #1 seed) were all in the other half and Kent only had to play one (Miami) to win the championship.

Winning the MAC regular season and the #1 seed would guarantee an NIT bid. That is worth caring about should the 3 days in Cleveland not go our way.
