I’d advise stay off of their board and shun them from yours. Unless you like a drama filled day.
It’s like the housewives of sunbelt county over there.

I got called trash by two separate LT posters in the same day, now they’re on here boohooing about not being treated fairly. They start their own ****. You’ll see. Dish it but can’t take it.

LT/ULL drama can derail a thread real quick and that should be addressed on both boards. Most of this is BS though, Are SB fans taking a victory lap for raiding CUSA after being looked down on for years? Yeah. Is LT a focal point of that? Yeah, for reasons. A lot of y’all either need to grow a pair or remove yourself from the situation. This isn’t nearly as bad as the animosity when I joined between those going to the AAC and the left behinds. It’ll be fine.

Well I personally have not heard too much trash talk by ODU. How about from now on we just take our victory laps on our own board. CUSA will survive and may actually thrive. Let’s give it time and support each other. And mturn017 you are TRASh? JK

The other thing to remember is regardless of who is leaving for where and when, THERE ARE STILL 14 TEAMS IN CUSA including Marshall, ODU, and USM and the AAC future members.

Sorry if some of you don’t like it, but that’s the way it is.

That’s because we’re pretty bad at basketball. Look forward to talking some smack with you come baseball season. I’m not taking any of this too seriously, I’m saying give it some time and things will cool down. I’ve never had an issue with visiting fans even if they are here just to troll as long as they’re not complete jackasses and are somewhat on topic.

+ army56mike
+ inutech

Assuming both are down. I would hope inutech can also serve to simmer down the rump contingent of LA Tech fans (led by deb) that have stirred things up beyond reason in the recent past.

That means all three of the recent adds have been from new C-USA teams. And as I said from the beginning, we'd get there, but we're not going to turn the table upside down right away, that's almost never a good idea.

Dude that tells me you haven’t been paying attention, and the fact that you said that makes me wonder how good of a moderator you are. That was way out of line. Tech fans have been under constant barrage of attacks. Where were you when the the SunBelt put two threads up about reasons to hate La Tech. You were nowhere. Now you want to attack Tech posters who were forced to defend their school. Maybe you should reevaluate how impartial you really are. These boards would have never gotten so hostile if you would have reigned in some of the attacks on us in the first place, the reason Winston is not over here anymore is because he couldn’t deal with the constant bullying from ULL fans right after the realignment. Every post made was constantly trolled by ULL. And yet crickets from you. We actually had to start a thread here by asking ULL fans not to reply in the title. Where were you dude? You certainly weren’t worried about threads being “derailed” then.

The infighting among the LA FBS schools is like nothing else. I thought those days were past me when the "We're Louisiana!" "No WE'RE Louisiana!" wars finally died off on the Sun Belt board between ULL and ULM.

If that is the case for Winston then he'd lend tremendous credibility to your argument with a PM to me saying as much.

This board got hostile because of the acrimony over large scale turmoil and multiple competing agendas that quite literally split C-USA up. And that happened after Judy spent several years stock piling powder kegs through her mismanagement. The typical MO with all these realignments is at first everybody wants to stay put. Fans start shifting their posting/viewing habits with their conference. Departing teams are increasingly treated as villains. Eventually the acrimony gets too much and things are moved to reflect their future alignment before that alignment actually takes place. We're getting closed to that tipping point where I'll repoll everybody and there will be enough of a marked shift in attitude that some team boards will want to go ahead and move and be done with it. After that happens it will all settle back down again. I've seen this story play out over a half dozen times now.

I hope things can become civil again and I promise to do better in the future on my part. I'll leave it at that because I want this place to be enjoyable for all posters. Good luck to the future mods whoever they maybe. I also think inutech would be a good moderator for Louisiana Tech.
Edit: I also agree that army56mike would be a good moderator too.

More posts like this is a good path to that. Though I disagree with bad mod advice. Think of it more like you're the linesman that won't stop giving people the business when the ref came in to spot the ball. It may take a bit but eventually they'll get a flag thrown if they're in error. Don't take the bait.

We have one mod on the WAC board. I believe he has now been made a mod for the CUSA board as well. He very rarely gets involved and lets folks do their thing. And I don't think he has ever banned anyone. I hope the mods here take that to heart. I think there is very little that ever needs to be moderated on these boards. I'm worried that we are going to have 37 mods over here. It only takes one overzealous mod to ruin everything.

The WAC board didn't up and change half the membership in an explosive week after years of angst over the commish.

They did something pretty close. Twice, right?

Poor Karl Benson, I don't think it was mostly his fault, but that dude oversaw like 3 conferences worth of teams leave his conferences, didn't he?

"It's Like That" was the debut single by American hip hop group Run-D.M.C., released in 1983 by Profile Records. The song was remixed by house DJ Jason Nevins in 1997. In the UK, the Nevins remix gained notoriety for breaking the Spice Girls' run of consecutive number-one hits on the UK Singles Chart, keeping their song "Stop" from claiming the top spot.

I know UNT won't be on this board for more than another year or two, but I'd like to see the next set of mods take responsibility for their actions. When a mod does something, I would be nice if they were man enough to step up, admit it, and explain why. I think we would all welcome more transparency from the mods going forward. I'd like to think most of the posters on this board have thick enough skin to hear the truth about what they've done wrong.

No it doesn't. The problem is that when someone from another board spouts off and our poster responds in a manner just as inflammatory, it kinda makes it hard to do anything because it would then appear that they are accepting and engaging in the same.

Don't respond to it, report it, and move on and we will take care of it.
