Memphis owned Central Florida tonight at the college and pro levels. Well done.

I was in the Forum tonight and said after the first 5 minutes “this team is looking like what I expected to see the entire season”. I was impressed the entire game. Sure, UCF made a run to start the second half (basketball is a game of runs), but our guys stepped up and won going away.

I read every post in this thread when I got home. We have, as Spiro T.Agnew famously once said, a lot of “nattering nabobs of negativism” on this board. I wonder- are some of y’all are unhappy when our Tigers win?

Personally, I think that we are healthy again, that Penny has a handle on what we need to do going forward, and that our players are confident and ready to go pile up some wins in the AAC.

Great win and team effort and I hate to be that guy but does anyone find it head scratching that lomax had almost as many minutes than Harris and minott combined? the two leading scorers in the game.

The play where the defender for UCF has his feet clearly on the circle under the basket & Lomax drives in & leaves his feet takes contact & makes the layup.

The stupid bald referee calls a charge when the defender was clearly on the line of the restricted circle area. The 2 other Officials even individually called him over to tell him he made the wrong call. After much delay he finally relents & makes the change but doesn't give the points on the layup to Alo; which was nuckin futs. Lomax was clearly in the act of shooting.

The other 2 Officials even went over to watch the replay but the bald Official wouldn't as I remember it.

The Forum was going crazy booing him.

Someone told me that the bald red has a history with penny going back to the aau days…don’t know how true it is but what I was told.

Talent level was overwhelming.

Josh needs to start and will probably be a pro next season, so play him while we can.

Lomax, Lawson, Hardaway and Dandridge deserve fewer minutes

Nolley, Williams, Harris and Minott deserve more minutes

Did good with turnovers and rebounds

We are really tall and fast and seem to be ready for a tournament run.

Me too. As far as I'm concerned he's the best all around player we have and should be seeing significant minutes.

Lawson impressed me last night. No, he didn't do anything fantastic but neither did he hurt us and did a couple of things well.
