Thread to talk about all the games going on in the B12. Pretty good when half of the conference is ranked in the top 25.

TCU picked up their 1st conference win last night on the road @ Kansas State to move to 1-1 in the league. KSU was up 57-52 with 71 seconds remaining.

TCU seems to be in a similar situation to UCF, where we are both bubble teams that are on the outside right now, but control our own destinies and can easily make it to the right side of the bubble.

K State has gotten hit with Covid badly but the kids that were available have really played hard. They should have won in Morgantown last Saturday.

Oklahoma State got blown out by Texas Tech, don’t they have a postseason ban still?

Yes my understanding is that the Pokes ban applies for upcoming postseason.

A bunch of close games yesterday, which is par for the course for this league.

TCU has a great atmosphere for OU yesterday, over 2,100 students in attendance which is pretty good for a 10,000 student school with a 6,800 seat arena and little basketball history.

Baylor dropped two in a row surprisingly, so they may not be the #1 overall seed in the tourney anymore.

Crazy things happen in league play. Everyone’s primary goal of protecting their home court can often be a challenge. There’s a lot of familiarity among these teams, and I also buy into the idea that out of 30 games, 20 are close to your norm, 5 are well above, and 5 are well below. Where those outliers occur can make a big difference.

I'm going to stop paying attention to UCF basketball for the rest of the year because since I've started pay attention, it hasn't been good.

We came back from down 20 to win by 7 in OT, as soon as I turned the game off, of course

Houston and UCF win, and 3 of 4 legacy team games are won by the visitors.

Kansas State is going to be a darn tough competitor the rest of the season if they stay healthy. Top to bottom, the conference race is still very tight, and there's nothing preventing the Wildcats from being up in the top half if they keep playing well. I'd say they are capable of beating most of the teams on a given night.

There truly isn't a easy out in the league this year, even more so in recent years when the league has been very tough top to bottom as well.
