Not fully related to our coaching search or Rath's wife, but I'm reading that Al Washington is a candidate for the Notre Dame DC job. Guy seems to keep falling up if true.

It’s a done deal.

Got it. This makes just a bit more sense - I had read that he was a DC candidate. Regardless, the guy keeps landing on his feet.

Very surprising. The guy seems like a recruiting wizard and a poor XOs guy, at least from what I can remember. I'm guessing Marcus feels like he can stay involved in the Defensive strategy a great deal.

Per Chad on Twitter, Walter Stewart will be joining the staff as well. My guess is as the Snipers/Pass Rush coach

That means there are three spots left, TE, ST, and CBs with two coaching spots remaining, which means the ST coordinator would need to either be a CBs coach or a TE coach...I think we know a guy who could do CB/ST...

Likely internal strife and outright chaos in the program.

He is risen!

I'm assuming Coach Coombs is coming back in the role BMan described, and that's absolutely fine by me. He'll bring his energy, and get to retire in his hometown.

Fans complain when we hire coaches too fast without vetting other candidates, and complain when we hired too slow.

Please don't lump Doss in with anyone else on this board.

LoL. Mark beat me to it. I like Doss, but don't let him speak for everyone.
