College football.. other games/teams you like to watch..
After watching Georgia play Alabama, I could see taking the time to watch them play again if it didn't conflict with UC's football game viewing wise.

I was wondering other matchups, secondary rooting interests you plan on watching in coming years.

Next year I'd say i would

1) hope the best for Notre Dame because i want to see Freeman do well
2) Still secretly root for Michigan against OSU (also have a few good friends that are michigan fans or alums)
3) Enjoy seeing Purdue with their occasional upsets of other big 10 teams
4) Root against LSU because of Brian Kelly
5) root for Houston when they dont' play us or it doesn't affect us (we still have to beat them for the league title)
6) root for AAC teams in their bowl games.

College Football:
Teams I Root For:
1) Cincinnati - Grew up as my team and haven't stopped going to games since I was a kid. Will spend money here.
2) Ohio State- Alum. Awesome memories. Will spend money here.

3) AAC teams against OOC and then whatever helps UC - I agree Houston is my favorite and know plenty in that city. UCF as well as it's a big game/mini rivalry and future Big 12 member.
4) New Big 12 Teams - Oklahoma use to be my favorite in Big 12 but I got tired of no defense. Oklahoma St. is my favorite now.
5) LSU - Favorite uniforms as a kid and I always loved SEC football. I will be rooting for Kelly to get canned ASAP though so not while he is the coach. LSU would be a blast to go to.
6) Michigan - I've always liked them, so only hate them 1 day out of the year. Not a Harbaugh fan but he is a solid coach. I don't know why I didn't apply besides I hate the cold. Great academics, campus, and unis.
7) WV - I loved the Pat White/Steve Slaton teams. Great song, campus, and unis
8) Georgia - 2nd favorite SEC school. Best campus in conference and actually solid academics for the SEC. Good unis.

Teams I Hate:
1) Michigan 1 day of the year - Best rivalry and every fanbase has idiots
2) Kentucky - Hate their fans and know too many that went there
3) Clemson - Too good for who they are
4) Notre Dame - Liked them as a kid but hated them since Charlie Weis. Brian Kelly increased that. Can't root against Freeman but don't want them to become a powerhouse.
5) Texas - Arrogant idiots
6) PAC 12 everything
7) ACC football

Respect:
1) Alabama - Hate their uniforms, fans (know a few that went), trash academics compared to Florida/Georgia, but Nick Saban is the man and seems like a good guy

College Basketball:
- I use to love college basketball but that has fallen off in the last 5 years for some reason so barely watch besides UC.
Teams I root for:
1) UC
2) Ohio State
3) North Carolina

Teams I hate:
1) Xavier
2) Kentucky - Except they make me money usually and it ruins my friends that are alums day when they lose

UC

Distant second: Alabama.

Couldn’t really care a lick less about pulling for any other teams...although I do loathe all things Notre Dame.

I watch/root for Cincinnati.

Other than that, I root against teams. Such as Notre Dame, Ohio State and anyone ranked above Cincinnati.

Cincinnati is my clear cut #1, Michigan is my #2 and Toledo is my #3....not a huge fan of MSU, UK or ND (Needing ND to win this season to help UC felt odd and then having Marcus Freeman as a head coach actually had me cheering for ND in the bowl game this year though).

In order:

UC for ages.

Love watching OSU if they are losing.

ND if they are losing.

Anyone we are scheduled to play.

Army - patriotic thing.

Almost any college game.

Some curve balls: Wake Forest was fun this year because they were like strictly analytics. Just consistently running high efficiency plays, unique situational decisions, stuff like that. Almost a petri dish for the nerds.

Coastal Carolina is fun too. I think Grayson McCall is coming back. If he played in the SEC they'd never shut up about him. He might be the best QB in the NCAA next year.

Dan Lanning at Oregon, Chip Kelly at UCLA, and Lincoln Reily will be worth watching for Pac 12 after dark.

Dave Aranda at Baylor is hard not to like. They outplayed their potential this year and should be a force in the New Big 12.

I've grown to like our former Big East brethren Pitt

I realize they have to take care of themselves first, but Pitt was the one that led the charge for ESPN to kill the Big East. Read their rivals board sometime— their fans view us like we’re Youngstown State (and the subject comes us often).

Agree with you on Wake. Extremely progressive stuff going on there that is interesting. I pull for any of the true analytics guys.

Tenn- Heupel dove head first into the Baylor offense (veer and shoot) stuff that is both effective and fun regardless of what you think about Briles as a person.

I am with a couple others.

UC 100% and then any other team that helps UC. Sorry but ND is back to being hated even though I do like Marcus. I can't root for ND.

RE: College football.. other games/teams you like to watch..
My college football rooting philosophy outside UC is probably unpopular around here but I consider it somewhat similar to UC's football recruiting: generally speaking, the closer the better. My ranking is based upon random hypothetical matchups and thinking about which team I'd prefer to see win.

#1 UC - been following 'em since I was a wee youngin including some very lean years.
#2 Miami - I like rivalries and that requires both teams to be competitive for it to be meaningful. The big picture future is probably bleak, but somebody's got to win the MAC and I'd rather it be Miami than the others.
#3A Current conference mates of 1 and 2, mostly for the indirect impact. Also, I like to root for the little guys even if we don't necessarily qualify anymore at this point.
#3B Notre Dame - Probably was 3C but I'm bumping them to 3B given the Freeman factor although all the UC coach poaching helps keep this rather fluid (like all of 3A-C).
#3C Ohio St. - Somebody's got to win the B10 and I'd rather it be Ohio St. than the others.

The rest can all go to he.., er Cleveland. :)

Eh, not to go OT, I see that as kind of a double-edged sword. Obviously, we don't want Day to be fired (especially now with Freeman off the board as a replacement both at UC and OSU). But too much success might make Day both more appealing to the NFL and more inclined to go to the NFL.

I can't stand any of the AAC teams outside of UC and Navy... I'll be more interested in the Big XII teams because I grew up watching the old Big 8 and have lived and worked in Ames and Morgantown.

But really it's only UC that I follow.

so we just don't want day to become too successful; like maybe he gets one title a decade or something and continues to beat michigan

for me it's wisky hoops and pigskin as my number twos followed by in no order

purdue hoops going back to glenn. big fan of lafayette aka prophetstown and becoming bit of a frontier buff lately, that appeals to me

auburn hoops (bruce pearl's sweet)

whatever team my buddies' brother is a dlineman coach for. he was at colorado st last season and usf prior stint at marshall etc

no dak st pigskin. being a native of the peace garden state gives me the right and affords me the pleasure

root for marshall. have always been attracted to the rough and rumble program. tis a cryin' shame they ain't in the aac

hard not to root for mick and bob

i find no pac 12 team attractive. i used to have a thing for cal, but she got ugly; real ugly

same with the big 12 outside of 'eer hoops

the acc and big east are garbage, gun to my head, 'cuse hoops?

i think that's it

historically i was a hoya and seminoles pigskin fan. i repped the "u" for a minute. funny story, my estranged friend is a "u" fan

oh this is just supposed to be football... my bad

RE: College football.. other games/teams you like to watch..
1. Cincinnati

My alma mater and clear cut #1.

2. Michigan

I grew up a fan of the maize and blue, due to my dad being a fan. I later became a more diehard fan because Charles Woodson was from my hometown and lived down the street from me. Still pull for them, try to catch all their games on TV when they don't conflict with UC, and attend a game in the Big House once every few years with my dad/brother.

3a. Bowling Green
3b. Toledo

My regional small/underdog teams. It's a bit sacrilege to cheer for both, but I have a ton of family and friends that attended both of these schools and have always pulled for both to do well. Outside of Nippert, I've been to more games at Doyt Perry Stadium than any other college stadium.

4. Whoever is playing Ohio State
