I kid

really not until the last 10 minutes

during timeouts, everything is scripted
which kills the crowd

i don't need no stinking kiss cam, etc.

In the good ol days, timeouts following big plays (like after back to back Minott dunks) would have the fight song with 14,000 people clapping in unison--loud, intimidating, awesome. They have taken that completely away now.

Someone needs to tell them this isn’t minor league baseball (where it’s often more about the entertainment than the game).

Sounds like someone needs to tell you all it is 2022, not 1980 and they are absolutely trying to appeal to families as much if not more than a bunch of blue hairs that want to come and sit on their fannies all game...

Some of those “blue hairs” are the reason we have some of the nice things we have around campus.

Just sayin’…. 07-coffee3

The kiss cam is kind of a dumb throw back. Do they really do that? It might be fun to get a free tv though

The commentators made it sound like a great environment. At least on TV that’s how viewers would have perceived it.

Commentators mentioned the noise, energy and how special it felt to be there. The players also mentioned it in their post game presser.

Right, but wasn’t that because the fans were really into the game? If it was due to the kiss cam, I’ve grossly underestimated the kiss cam.
