Joe Lunardi has UAB as the first team out AFTER the Rice loss.

To those saying we aren't in the conversation, this contradicts that. I have my doubts we can get an at large after taking a loss like Rice, but our metrics still have us in shouting distance with a NET of 42. Lunardi's first four out:

UAB
Louisville
St. Bonaventure
Clemson

Last 4 in:

Minnesota
Wake Forest
Virginia Tech
Memphis

I'm not 100% confident Lunardi didn't just assume we won against Rice and continued with his update. We were probably in his First Four Out before we even played Rice.

But that says more on how I feel about Lunardi's expertise than our team's chances.

Zero chance, Ever.

These numbers were never going to hold as the cusa schedule progresses and there is a monumental difference in how the committee perceives a 40-something net for a p5 vs CUSA.

UAB’s schedule is better but still not strong enough to get an at large.

Period.

Lunardi, Palm, etc make these weekly based on current snapshot not March projection.

I beg to differ. I think DD analysis is spot on.

It’s not happening and wasn’t going to happen, regardless of the Rice collapse.

It was going to happen, y’all are just coping with us have meaningless ball between now and the conference Tournament. Kind of like some excused the rice loss and the 4 and inches on the gridiron. The fact that we are still in projections after a terrible loss, makes y’all look even more wrong.

If it were me, I’d have La Tech in those projections. They are more than just Lofton.

Guys, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we're in C-USA. There isn't an at-large coming out of C-USA. Win the conference tournament and you're in. Otherwise there's a very deserving 5th place team from the B1G that needs that spot.

Man, there must be a constant dark cloud over our fanbases’s head or something. The OVC and MVC have recently got at-large bids. Plus, C-USA is not nearly as bad as it has been the past few years. I’m not saying we’d be in right now, but to act like it’s impossible is just wrong.

It's not impossible, it's just unlikely, and I mean highly unlikely.

Cusa isn’t those other leagues. There is a significant history as to why.
