If that’s the case get the renderings ready ASAP and then work the numbers and feasibility with the constraints of the surrounding buildings. Either way people will need to be ready to shell out more $ really soon for ticks. Best bang for your buck live sports entertainment for a long time.

Regardless, I agree with many that UC is in an extremely unique situation and need to take full advantage of the opportunities we have right now whether winning, coach, or Big 12 invite.

Interesting point in that article: the difference in football ticket revenue between UC and Michigan/Alabama/Georgia is far greater than the difference in media revenue.

Michigan/Alabama/Georgia had $50/$36.9/$36.3 million in football ticket revenue, while UC only had $4.1 million.

That won't change too much when UC goes to the Big 12.

I paid substantially more for one ticket to the cotton bowl than I do for UC season tickets. That needs to change. The days of paying 250 a year for lower bowl corner end zone tickets needs to end. You may lose some people on the front end, but the alternative of having such low revenue from tickets just won't work. Increase the prices 33% and you're paying for the Fickell extension.

Agreed. I think there will be a natural increase with Big 12 opponents and being able to get better P5 programs since we will have that same affiliation, but it blows me away how cheap they are.

Michigan has more seats that Alabama/Georgia but they are likely able to charge more based on economic means of their respective area. I would think we could increase 15%-30% this year on demand only with little drop off.

Example:
2021 Price $250
15% Increase $285.50
30% Increase $325

15% or 30% increase still best bang for your buck that I know of and ridiculously cheap for live sports.

This ticket revenue data only reinforces the point that UC simply can't afford to get in a bidding war with P5 heavy hitters. On the plus side, it again supports our belief that we punch way above our weight class and get an almost unbelievable ROI--this past season sprinting past many high revenue P5 programs to reach college football's final four.

We have two other factors in our favor. First, Fickell and his family seem to genuinely like it here--both UC and living in a great metro close to their extended families nearby in central Ohio. Second, Cunningham's actions suggest his dialogue with Luke was likely responsible for announcing the "beginning of beginning" to build that first class IPF, which is needed to take the Bearcat program to the next level as a P5.

He'll get some kind of a raise for sure. But seeing our ticket revenue and current (AAC) media cash flow, it won't be LSU or USC money. And I don't think it will need to be. Oh, and count me in on a willingness to pay more for season tickets to watch Big XII football.

UC announced in October their plan to increase the pricing for the 2022 season. Most of the prices go up 7-20%. I am guessing this will only last for one season before it will go up again.

Agreed. Tickets simply have to increase in price to fund the kind of program we all want. And it will still be a bargain compared with pro sports in this town.

If I heard correctly yesterday, the Bengals' first playoff game @ PBS has cheap seats (upper deck) starting at $125.00 and lower bowl @ $300.00.

I haven't had any desire to attend an NFL game @ PBS in years. People will pay those prices though to watch a team that hasn't won a playoff game in 30 years. I certainly think our fans will pay a few dollars more to see the Bearcats host Baylor, West Virginia, Iowa State or Oklahoma State.

Shows the importance of premium seats. I pay that much for 1 game. If we build more seating it must be PREMIUM.

Despite my frustration and disappointment in the conservative approach and lack of creative game plan against AL, I am all in on CLF.

He is a man of integrity. I saw on the post game video he was emotional when talking about his seniors. He cares. He will listen to WVa, MI St, etc. but it will be hard for him to leave bc of his integrity and that UC and Cincinnati has a lot to offer. Despite Amy Having targeted Cincinnati as a place for her husband to coach, I bet both of them are surprised at everything Cincinnati and UC has to offer.

Bolded, I bet you're right about this. Over the years I've met or worked with many who have relocated here from elsewhere in Ohio--heck even folks from the east and west coast. Most are pleasantly surprised with the "big city" amenities and small city ease of travel access.

Thinking back over some of the top jobs that were open this past couple of months and where you'd move your family: South Bend, IN, Norman, OK, and Los Angeles. With money, you could live well in any of those places but for native Ohioans like the Fickells, Cincinnati must feel pretty good.

Present him a 10-year deal with escalations and a salary to be top 4 in B12 once we are getting a full share.

This seems to be as good a place as any to plop down...
