Final AP/coaches poll rankings
I know it shouldn't matter much but what do you think their final AP/coaches poll ranking will be? Or do they even do a new ranking after the bowls?
They put up a better showing than Michigan. And OSU struggled against a lower ranked opponent. I'd just hate to see them rank OSU higher than UC in the final ranking due to the irritating nature of their fan base.

RE: Final AP/coaches poll rankings
We should be ranked higher than Michigan, but we won't be.
We should be ranked higher than Oho State, but I doubt we will be.
I think we should be #4-#5, but will be #8 or #9.

RE: Final AP/coaches poll rankings
I actually think Houston & UCF's wins help us a lot. They make our schedule look a lot more respectable. Houston's going to end up #19.
The only teams that might pass us are Baylor, Ohio State, and Oklahoma State. Every other top-10 team behind us lost (and there's no way #11 Michigan State's miracle win over Pitt's 3rd string QB elevates MSU ahead of UC).
They're not elevating a team that lost - not that it's a hard & fast rule, but they're just not doing it this week because the closest team to us is Notre Dame, who has zero wins over ranked teams and who we beat soundly at their house. They only beat 2 teams with winning records this year (Wisconsin & Purdue).
The 2nd closest team who lost a bowl game (#8 Ole Miss) got blown out by Alabama at home (it was 28-0 at half). And pollsters won't want to reward a team that lost its bowl game by 2 touchdowns by moving them up a spot to #7 without some big extenuating circumstance (which is not the case here).
That puts the floor at #7. Bank on it.
However, if Alabama rolls through Georgia again, then I fully expect UC will pass Michigan and end up #3 or #4. In that scenario, Baylor is the only team that I see passing us.

Pretty confident we'll be somewhere between 4 and 6.
I'd lean toward 4.

5-6.
Ohio State will jump us to push us out of the "Top 4."
I'd say a hard 6 if ND won but they didn't.
Baylor might jump us.

We made the CFP. Anything less than 4 is a farce.

How does giving up 45 points to Utah elevate OSU?
I get that they scored 48, but still, giving up 45….. oy vey….

Name recognition alone.
Plus the Rose turned out to be the memorable game of the "Bowl Season." It's being spun as a "marvelous comeback" story. But let's face it...most of the voters don't need much of a reason to prop-up Ohio State.

I would assume they keep the top 4 in tact. No one from 5 up should penetrate top 4 IMO

I'll be honest. It will just bother me if OSU passes them up because of the annoying OSU fans in Cincinnati.
I live in Columbus now and the most annoying OSU fans are the ones in Cincinnati who didn't go to OSU.
Most of them attended school at Miami where they didn't root for their team the Miami Red(animal noun chosen to replace human)

OSU alums really aren't that bad considering they're a blue blood. It's the people who went to MAC schools that are the most obnoxious OSU fans

We should stay at 4, especially with Coach Saban's post game comments, however I think the Power 5 wants to keep the club as exclusive as they can.

That's FPI. It's seriously flawed. Has Clemson ahead of us and 7-6 Iowa State one spot below us. And ND ahead of us...I won't go on.
