Colerain Cardinals Question
It's apparent now that the UC/Colerain pipeline is a real thing. Question for those who follow high school FB; with Bolden at Lakota West is the talent level at Colerain going forward still as good as its always been or have kids coming out of their youth program start going elsewhere for high school?

RE: Colerain Cardinals Question
My kids school is in the same conference (GMC) so I am pretty familiar. Colerain is going down hill fast. They finished 3rd two years ago and 5th this past year. They still have some athletes, both nothing like it was. Kids are following Bolden to Lakota West. He's building them into a powerhouse. They've won the GMC the last 2 years. CLF would be better served nurturing the UC/Lakota West pipeline.

Now, obviously things may change if Colerain moves on from Coach Shawn Cutright.

RE: Colerain Cardinals Question
Colerain still has the same level talent IMO.

The Colerain program has suffered 2 losses within their program that have impacted them greatly the last few years. They were a power house under Coach Grippa; when he left Coach Bolden stepped in and continued to keep the program one of the top programs in the city. Coach Bolden has moved on to Lakota West and Coach Cutright (former Defensive Coordinator for Colerain) has not kept the program on the same level.

The 2nd impact to Colerain was the loss of their Strength and Conditioning Coach Terrell Williams. Coach Williams developed the players physically and did an excellent job. He is now in the GCL at St Xavier which has had a fantastic S&C program going back to Carlo Alvarez. Carlo has extensive experience having served as the Director of Sports Performance for both the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds of MLB, and has been on the strength and conditioning staffs at both the University of Notre Dame and the University of Cincinnati. When St X lost Carlo they went out and got Terrell Williams.

Bolden was at the Playoff game, for whatever that is worth.

RE: Colerain Cardinals Question
My apologies I said Grippa. I meant Kerry Coombs.

RE: Colerain Cardinals Question
In addition to Lakota West, we need to build a pipeline at Princeton and Fairfield too.

Those Butler County kids just don't seem that interested in playing football at UC. They'd rather go to UK, OSU or somewhere else in the B10 and SEC. Malik Vann has been the exception. Hopefully that changes going forward (Bolden at LE).
