Well how much playing time did he get?

Can't say too much since my son is still part of the program, but It's not all that surprising, that we are losing guys when you consider the following:
HC that is going into his final year on his contact with no extension...players have to wonder who will be here after next season.
College experience at UT...Socially, there is not much going on...many classes are online, so little social interaction during the week and literally nothing to do on campus on the weekends...a lot of the guys go to BG in order to get out and have a normal college experience. Not everyone transfers due to playing time.

Rockets have offered 6'6 315 FCS All-American OT JD DiRenzo, transfer from Sacred Heart
has 1 year of eligibility left. Entered the portal yesterday, but already has offers from Buffalo, Ball State, Purdue, SMU, Mississippi St, FIU and Temple, in addition to UT. Would be a much needed get if UT could pull it off.

Candle's contract goes through 2023. What does that mean? Was this past season the 2021 season or the 2021-22 school year? He could have one or two "football seasons" left??? The Blade story seemed to indicate two.

Exactly 2 years from today.

But he won't go into the 2023 season without a contract extension. He will either get fired after the 2022 season, or get an extension. No D1 coach goes into their final year of a contract. That will kill recruiting and shows a lack of confidence in the coach.

I don’t see him turning this team around. Even if he brings in a new OC. My thoughts are he still can’t figure out how to manage the team.

It shows every game. Even the announcers during games see. You tell the way they say “another pass, after they’ve been running the ball so well”
