We were probably rooting for Argentina in the falklands today.

This is about what I expected. Our offense isn’t set up to deal with elite defenders on the front. It felt like we just conceded that fact with the play calling.

They are possibly better at 22/22 positions, more likely 20/22. Result is what one would expect.

Alabama obviously saw the weakness we saw all year - UC was susceptible to the run. They had no need to pass the ball to win the game.

Well Saban probably watched 10 minutes of tape on us to formulate his game plan... Run the ball.

I'll see seeing #4 in my nightmare tonight.

Disappointed in the offense. They could've left the 6-drum at home. Should've been able to punch it in at least once. Jeesh.

They struggled passing when they tried. They didn't even bother taking shots at coby and sauce.

Yea we are going to give up some running. We did. But defense did plenty.

Yes, I agree - the defense played well. They were on the field too much and got no help from the offense.

It was still better than watching any other team today. The outcome sucked, but still beats the alternative.

If our DB’s are so good why not stack the line?

Rushing 3 again is great against lots of teams. It’s sucks against good squads

Saban and his staff and his 20 analysts knew the plan long before kickoff.

Bama will go back to throwing for 350 next week.

If Coby/sauce get beat then so be it. That's our best group. Frustrating to see them schemed out of the game while we make no attempt to mask our biggest flaw

Best season ever and I got to see 13 wins in person with only 1 loss. I love it.

It was an issue today and in a lot of the oddly close games this season. We often schemed to protect our best position group. Tressel Ball.

Yep. Saban said as much in post game. He said they knew they wanted to run the ball against UC's 3-3 stack defense.

Nah. I'm done with the season tonight.

Wish I could say that I was looking forward to basketball but I don't like to lie.

I didn’t see that but it was what I figured. 3 down linemen is the D for a pass happy conference. It’s no bueno for physical offense.

They could have won today without throwing a pass.

Sauce and coby were both on an island a ton today. Stopping the run isn't just stacking the line. We played to avoid big plays running and passing. Knowing yards could be there in the ground but avoiding big play tds in the ground and through the air (made the one before the half really disappointing). Bama won at the point of attack but also took where were designed to be vulnerable. I was fine with the defensive gameplan.

Offense is another matter entirely.

We dropped safeties most of the time and left our LB’s in limbo.

We played a vanilla D to shut down the air. We didn’t bring heat from corners. Wasn’t really impressed with our coaching on either side of the ball today. Felt like we knew we were overmatched.

Bama has been a pass happy offense all year. We limited their Heisman qb. Forced him into an int.

Their running shortened the game. Theyb sustained some drives but we got enough stops and shortened the game. Offense just didn't take advantage. 2 red zone fgs, nothing off the int. Turnover on downs in scoring zone.

They ran 11 running plays in a row to start the game for a reason.
